Description
The Sebilj is an Ottoman-style wooden fountain in the centre of Baščaršija Square in Sarajevo built by Mehmed Pasha Kukavica in 1753. It was relocated by Austrian architect Alexander Wittek in 1891. According to local legend, visitors who drink water from this fountain will return to Sarajevo someday.

It's a beautiful Ottoman style fountain.The fountain is a gift from the city of Sarajevo to Belgrade. Unfortunately no one takes care of her and is neglected, often beggars and drunks gather around her. I hope one day somebody will take care of it and fix it, so we can drink water again there. It is located opposite Baylon's market at the entrance...

A great and ancient place. This used to be a water fountain for drinking during the Ottoman empire in the Balkan. There is a famous one in Sarajevo. I would suggest if the tourism or heritage authority would bring it to life again and people can drink...
