ElDiablo Hostel — Hotel in City of Belgrade

This was hands down my best hostel experience. Dragan and Nicolai are the owners and they are the heart and soul of this place along with their rotating volunteers. They will have you laughing as soon as you walk in the door. I met so many friendly people traveling in the Balkans, but this was the only hostel with such a nice sense of community that I spent a large part of each morning just talking to whoever was at reception prior to exploring the city. I liked my time here so much that when I left without my charger I came back the next week on an overnight bus and booked an overnight bus the same day I arrived. I showed up at 6 am and they took me in without a booking and just let me charge my phone, wash up, have some coffee, and store my bags there till my bus. After a day of exploring based upon their recommendations I came back and gathered my bags to leave, but Dragan insisted that we say "see you later" instead of "goodbye". If you are considering a visit to Belgrade, there is really no better place to meet nice people and feel at home while exploring a new place. I am not one to write google reviews very often, hence why this review is very delayed.

I had stayed throughout December 2021, and the experience was absolutely phenomenal. Not only were the managers, Dragan and Nikola the most friendly and lovely people you could ever meet, the people who stayed at the hostel were such an amazing vibe and are now some of my very good friends.

El Diablo feels like a family home! 💕

El Diablo isn't just a hostel, it's the place in Belgrade where you arrive as a guest and leave as family. I’ve been staying here whenever I visit Belgrade for the past three or four years, and it’s by far the best hostel I’ve ever experienced.

The beds are super comfortable, the bathrooms and kitchen are always spotless, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking your own meals, and the lockers are big enough to safely store all your belongings.

After 10 p.m., the atmosphere becomes quiet, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep, perfect for both early birds and night owls who need rest.

The hostel is located in one of Belgrade’s most vibrant neighbourhoods, close to the major attractions and surrounded by kafanas and restaurants where you can enjoy delicious local cuisine.
