It's unfortunate that an establishment like Suncoast Casino who have had years to get customer experience right are just not understanding the basics of it. I purchased a Suncoast Real Deal Voucher Booklet on the 11th of March for her birthday. She was later informed by a waiteress that her entire booklet is expired when she tried to pay her restaurant bill on the 23rd of March. I am aware that vouchers have expiration dates however the amount of unhappy reviews I have come across online about this "Real Deal" experience and how Suncoast Management respond to these issues is just baffling to me. This is an establishment that hopefully attracts tourists and yet the customer care aspect is seriously lacking. 1. When researching how to purchase this Real Deal online there was very little information on it and you have no choice but to go into Suncoast and purchase it at the Suncoast Box Office. If you wish to ask about it before driving all the way there the provided telephone number just rings. 2. The box office help desk consultants were helpful to an extent. It's scary to think that I get more information about a voucher if I'm purchasing it online than in person: I can easily see what I'm getting, what I'm not getting and a CLEAR EXPIRY DATE on the front of my voucher! The consultants took us through the voucher book very quickly and omitting to highlight that expiry dates were behind each voucher. I've worked in retail and customer service and believe me as a travel consultant we would sell vouchers with Ts & Cs and expiry dates monthly and if a client queried about a voucher it was my duty to notify them of the expiry date more so if it was being queried close to the time of expiry so the consumer can make an informed decision about their purchase before they spend their money. Not once was it mentioned to us that book expires on 24 March - imagine if a consumer does not refer to the internet the way I did to purchase this but just goes straight to the Box Office desk! That's not even the worst of it! Certain vouchers can only be used at certain hours for restaurants and my sisters voucher actually expired on the 21st of March this is before the now advertised date on the website (which I'm sure was not there beginning of March when I was trying to enquire telephonically) of the 24th of March! So who is gaining here.. Suncoast makes money from their casino let alone the entertainment side of things and now they're making money by selling vouchers at R350 with impractical and uncompromising limitations to them. It's embarrassing for a consumer to be told when it's time to pay the bill that the voucher they thought was valid is not due to Ts & Cs that are not clarified before purchasing this item. My family and I enjoy going to Suncoast but this has just left a sour taste our mouths. We basically flushed R350 down the drain AND my sister could not use her birthday gift. I truly hope Suncoast Management and staff helping to sell this product get this right. If this review could be no stars that is what I would...
Read moreVery unsafe!!!! Securities work with the criminals and protect the criminals not you.
I was followed harassed and they tried to rob me by distracting me . I called security and security did nothing.
The scenario:
I reach suncoast ... in the car park .. some random man is walking around saying he is from Richard's Bay and needs help.... than on the same day , The woman was a random lady who didn't work for suncoast that followed me and asked me to pick up my kids litter. From another area , meaning I must leave the restaurant where I was at and walk to the splash area ...... I have my laptop cellphone car keys bag all lying on the table and she was Insisting..... I come NOW. I had all my possessions there and I knew her plot ..... the waiter said it's cool she will go .. and than the last started yelling at the waiter and fighting with her that's when I realized the PLOT.....
So I called security and security DID NOT HELP.. they took the random criminals part. Said I must go pick up my litter....
Are there no cleaners there????
Do the securities have the right to do this to a complainant ?
THEY EITHER MISSED THE POINT OR THEY CHOSE TO SIDE WITH CRIMINALS.
They said she followed me for health and safety reasons. ... so a random person who doesn't work for suncoast can follow you and insist that you go and pick up your kids litter ..... and this is okay ??? ..and safe ???...
THATS CRAZY!!!
Women are followed and harassed by criminals and loitering is common place.
It is NOT SAFE AT ALL I HAVE ATTACHED PICS OF THE SECURITY NAME BADGES WHO FAILED IN THEIR DUTIES..
I had over three incidents there ... You get followed , harassed by criminals, you get robbed .
The first incident was a man who saw me at the kids games. He came to me and said , I'm parked next to you , I need a boost on my car can you come outside . I said NO .... and I asked him to leave us alone loudly. .. I taught that was done. .. but we left suncoast an hour later , drove to north beach outside my diners we parked there and there was a knock at my window, it was HIM... he followed us . I started hooting aggressively and he left . But he followed me from suncoast with my kids.
SECOND INCIDENT A lady was with her child but the child would go to your bag and dig. She was using her kid to steal. This was at the games . Reported to games security .nothing was done ... she carried on.
The security they have is useless .
Don't go there unless you want...
Read moreJust before 8pm we booked into the Suncoast hotel. In the hotel hallways are these incredible artwork – by Brenda Herd. Swirls of blue and white – on a canvas with a resin/epoxy on the front. Absolutely stunning! Dropped all the bags and crate in the room and walked into the hotel’s restaurant, Jeera at Suncoast Hotel & Towers. Decided on a platter to share …. Spicy lamb koftas with mini coriander & garlic naan; cheese rissoles; puri Patha; samosas, chilli bites and masala chips. Wow! Everything was tasty and delicious!!!!!
Time for breakfast. The hotel has a whole buffet spread …. Cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit (whole and cut), cold curried fish, cheeses, olives, baby tomatoes, sliced cucumber, dried fruit, nuts, biscuits, stewed fruit, fresh juices, 3 different types of muffins, Danish pastries, a marble cake, different kinds of sliced bread, oat crunchies, mini croissants, mini chocolate croissants, mini scones, chicken sausages, pork sausages, baked beans, scrambled eggs, haddock in milk, bacon, fried potatoes, creamed spinach, mushrooms, etc. Hein had bacon, mushrooms, toast, sausage and egg … I went fishy – curried fish, haddock and mushrooms with toast. The hotel has a gym … with my favorite bike!!! You know, the bike with a wide seat and a back. Hein left for his meeting and I dressed in swimwear. Pool looked lovely and I wanted some exercise. Water was fabulous, but after 30 minutes I noticed small monkeys at the pool chairs … scared they’ll come and grab my bag with phone, I popped up...
