A wonderland for people who like being active, especially kids. Friendly service, neat, well maintained. My experience however soured somewhat with my last visit which I will briefly describe.
Everything was going smoothly until I realised the water fountains were not working, I had 4 children with me complaining they were thirsty. I understand the closing of the fountains for transmission prevention. No problem. I know their selection of cool drink is limited so I went downstairs to Spar and purchased 4 cooldrinks. Still no problem. Upon returning I was told, politely I may add, "no outside beverages". Well okay I know some places do this, mostly restaurants but fine, I said I would put the cooldrink in the lockers and buy some water from the Cafe inside Bounce.
This is already strange because one could expect such a rule to be relaxed seeing as you have no option of a water fountain. I have in the past been allowed to bring in outside beverages, however now that the fountain is closed, the rule is suddenly being applied strictly.
I soon realised why when I bought 4 bottles of water and was charged R100. To be honest I am quite happy to pay for something I enjoy so go ahead and charge R300 a ticket if you want, but to charge R25 for a water is just disgusting. You are specifically profiting from the fact that a pandemic has allowed you to close the water fountain. There is no price at the water either you get the nice surprise when paying. Everything about this seems dodgy and wrong and I regret supporting Bounce. Questionable or unethical business practices should be exposed, so...
Read moreBounce Menlyn is a place for your kids to enjoy. It was my second time going there and I must say that even though it looks a place for small kids, it's a place for all kids, big and small.
They offer different packages for different prices, I for one took the family package since I was going with my brothers. You can even book your kids birthday party, party packages are available too. Just ask any of the staff, they will gladly assist you.
Lockers are available in order to put all your personal belongings, which you also get to create a temporary password so there is no need to worry about things getting stolen or lost.
The staff are very friendly. Each and every bouncing section there is someone on stand by to assist and to ensure everyone is having a great time. So if you don't feel like bouncing or you want to do some alone shopping around the area, just take your kids there. They will definitely have a great time there.
*Please bare in mind that prices might differ from the picture I posted at the time for various reasons. Kindly contact...
Read moreA range of jump/bounce-based play areas with each area overseen by a staff member, ensuring safety and that safety rules are followed. One area includes balls (I think the owners can add more bouncy balls in other areas, and possibly more padded walls for safety on some sides). The interior is spacious and colourfully laid out, with safety features added around edges of trampolines, close to walls, etc. There is a large area with chairs and tables next to the tuck shop, for parents or family wanting to take a break or have a bite to eat. Although a bit pricey, the range of hot and cold snacks on offer is sufficient. You can buy souvenir branded clothing and wrist bands at the tuckshop. The floors and staircases are covered with nonslip surfacing, but be aware there are a lot of stairways and any person can still injure themselves during the vigorous activity or walking up or down the stairs. I loved the overall feel of the venue and would enjoy returning with grownups for...
