Viva La Vida at La Parada Menlyn Maine - A Fiesta for the Senses!
Looking for a taste of Spanish sunshine in the heart of Pretoria? Look no further than La Parada Menlyn Maine! Our recent visit there was a full-fledged fiesta for the senses, and we left feeling happy, satisfied, and wanting more. Clement Talana is a Star of the show including members at the concierge and the waiters who served us.
A Tapas Triumph La Parada is all about the tapas experience, and they do it exceptionally well. Their menu boasts an extensive selection of small plates, each bursting with vibrant flavors and fresh ingredients. We opted for a variety, allowing us to share and savor a delectable cross-section of their offerings. From the melt-in-your-mouth gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimp) to the rich and smoky patatas bravas (spicy potatoes), every dish was a delight.
A Feast for the Eyes The vibrant atmosphere at La Parada is just as impressive as the food. The warm decor reflects the rich and colorful spirit of Spain, creating a truly immersive dining experience. The friendly and attentive staff added another layer of warmth to the ambiance, making us feel truly welcome.
Drinks to Complement Every Dish La Parada's extensive beverage list is another highlight. We sampled their delicious sangria, the perfect complement to the tapas. They also offer a wide selection of wines, cocktails, and other drinks, ensuring there's something to satisfy every taste.
A Perfect Place to Share The tapas style dining at La Parada makes it ideal for a fun and social dining experience. It's a great place to gather with friends or family, share a variety of dishes, and create lasting memories.

Read moreVibe was amazing. What a jewel of a spot inside. The only issue is the service. I ordered a Rib Eye with no basting, sauce, or anything. When the steak came, I told the waiter that it was not what i wanted. At this moment, I had 2 choices. Either stick with what I ordered or have them redo and sit to watch my wife eat alone while I wait for my food to come with no offer to even discount the food. (The SA restaurant scene norm). So I decided to keep the steak. Granted, the steak was amazing. Now I decide to try a desert, here is where things get interesting. I order the Chocolate Popcorn Smores, when the desert arrives, I am told that the waiter was just told that the popcorn had finished, probably one of the important components of the dish seeing as how it's name kind of revolves around it, as I am eating I am trying to figure out what was wrong with it as my mind continued to reflect on the description of the desert. Ahh, that's right. Coffee gelato was missing. So they basically brought me a brownie vanilla Sunday. With an apology, the waiter left again with not one inclination that something wrong on 2 occasions has transpired. If you are going to have an upmarket restaurant, it would behove you to get things right to attract return customers. I would come back because the vibe, ambience, and chicken were awesome. But if I were to bring clients on special people here, I would...
