Rockets - Time Square — Restaurant in Gauteng

Good evening. I trust these message would reach to Mr Sean Barber. My self & my 2 friends, decided to go for a Sunday drive to Rockets @ time Square,to have some late lunch, the little that we knew ,that it would end up so DESSAPOINTMENT. The place had maximum of 3 tables with customers,so we assumed service would be faster then normal busy time. But no luck. We ordered 2 piña colada. 1 Strawberry Daiquiri. It took a while before received. As we started drinking, we realized the both of piña colada has been blended with some plastic pieces inside. We look for the Waitress, hard to be found. Once one of us stood up to called the lady,we show her the plastic has been blended together with the pineapple and all the other ingredients. She saw the pieces of plastic with her own eyes. Cocktails got taken back to the bar man, he wasn't bothered to find out what felt by mistake inside the blender. This was the first incident. 2cnd mistake. We asked for prawn sushi, we received salmon sushi. 3rd incident. I asked for a salad from the menu, that includes Avocado. I actually received my salad 🥗 without Avocado. 4th incident My friend asked for a prego roll,with salad, she ended up receiving chips. 5th incident Waitress change shift, but never told us who is the person taking over our table. So we didn't know who to called for service. We actually first on arrival, we decided to seat on the outside,but unfortunately we had to move inside as the drain near our table was smelling bad. So we moved inside. The place was so hot inside, it wasn't a pleasure to be seated there. The staff look so unhappy. Reception lady looks like she had a terrible hangover. We took these as a bad experience. I trust that you will correct the staff with all these unacceptable bad experiences. We actually feel that we bother the staff by being there,and not actually customers to support the place. I never complain about any service any elsewhere, but today was really not nice at all. So I really wish that you can take these as possible and not negative. If us customers don't bring it to your attention, you will never know about it. And I'm sure your rent is very high. The decor is nice. But it needs a bit of customers service. ...

A prime location with an awesome view. That is as much good as I can give this place.

Forth second time, upon arriving the host at the entrance was far to occupied with her conversation with other staff, rather than greeting and seating the customers.

We booked a table for 8 people but received a measly table for 6 hidden in a corner. When this was brought to the attention of staff, no apology or explanation was provided. Instead, after some time they tried to force in extra chairs on a small table.

The service, oh dear Lord, the service. Non existant! We were invisible to the waiter it seemed. Drinks took long to arrive, food even longer. The food wasn't bad mind, but not really worth the price.

It took even longer for the waiter to bring the bill,when we eventually flagged him down to ask for it. Imagine the wait for the speed point to pay the bill.

The music was so loud, it was akin to dining in a night club. Upon leaving my voice was so hoarse from having to shout at people to keep up a conversation.

To add insult to injury, we had to pay a service fee. I am all about tipping waiters, but the service at this place does not deserve any tipping.

During all of this, there was no manager doing the rounds to see if everything was in order. To apologies or explain.

Needless to say, I will not be visiting Altitude again. I would also not recommend Altitude to others. In fact I would discourage others from doing so.

Went into Rockets before the show at Sun Bet Arena. For the busier events I would recommend a booking as all establishments tend to be full.

For this event, the restaurant had a smaller menu with limited choices. This was done so that they could prepare the food timeously.

For my main, I had a chicken Rosti. This was a chicken filet served on a bed of sweet potato with Thai sweet chili sauce. On top, there was cream cheese and avocado. The falvour off the combination worked. The portion size was a bit on the smaller side.

For dessert, i chose the waffle. The waffle was presented nicely. It came with vanilla ice cream, which was a bit on the small side for the portion of waffle. The actual waffle was a bit thin and dense. I personally prefer the waffle to be light and fluffy.

The food was delivered timeously. The aircon was supposedly on, and we were seated below, so with a full venue, the effect was not felt. The waitor staff also did not check on the table. I once ordered a drink and had to remind the waitor after 15 minutes, and then...
