After careful consideration, we chose Hotel Regent Marine for its prime location near the ocean. The hotel is situated in an excellent area, offering peaceful ocean views, while still being within walking distance to key attractions like Dongmun Market and Jeju Black Pork Street. Additionally, the hotelâs proximity to the airport, just 10 minutes away, made it a convenient base for exploring the island.|-Seamless Check-in and Professional Service|Our arrival was greeted with a smooth check-in experience. The staff, though professional and efficient, provided excellent service throughout our stay. While their approach was more businesslike than personal, we appreciated their attentiveness and swift assistance with all our needs.|-Spacious and Comfortable Room|Our room, located on the top floor, offered a partial but lovely ocean view through large windows. The room itself was spacious, well-lit, and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of space to store our luggage. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a restful night after a day of exploring. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained, though we did find the sliding door a little lacking in privacyâan area for improvement, but not a significant concern.|-Room Cleanliness and Air Conditioning|While the room was generally clean and comfortable, we did notice that a few areas could have been cleaned a bit more thoroughly. The air conditioning worked beautifully during the day, ensuring a cool and comfortable atmosphere. However, at night, the AC didnât seem to perform as well, which resulted in a warmer room and some disruption to our sleep. It wasnât a major issue but could be improved.|-Dining and Amenities|The hotel offers a paid breakfast, which was convenient, though not particularly remarkable. One of the highlights was the complimentary coupons for a nearby chicken restaurant, which was a lovely and thoughtful gesture. We enjoyed a delicious meal there, and it added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay.|-Prime Location for Exploring Jeju|The location of Hotel Regent Marine is one of its strongest points. The promenade across from the hotel provides a beautiful setting for a stroll, with calming ocean views to enjoy. Itâs also just a short walk to Dongmun Market, where you can immerse yourself in the local culture, and Jeju Black Pork Street, where youâll find some of the best local cuisine. The proximity to the airport makes this hotel particularly convenient for travelers, and the location itself offers a perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility.| In conclusion, we had a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Regent Marine. While there were a few small areas that could be enhancedâsuch as room cleanliness and air conditioning performanceâthe overall experience was highly positive. The hotelâs exceptional location, comfortable accommodations, and attentive service made it a great choice for our visit to Jeju. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a well-rounded and convenient stay...
Read moreLocated about 15 minutes drive away from the Jeju international airport in Jeju, South Korea, the Hotel Regent Marine The Blue Jeju is a 4-star business and leisure hotel situated along a picturesque waterfront, and within walking distance of the city.||Ambience is dated, most noticeable from the exterior facade windows, which are unclean. The warm lighting and extensive use of marble tiles, along with the carpeted floors, is a throwback to the design language of the 1990s. The lifts are slow, and therefore often crowded too, which means getting to and from your room requires some patience.||Room are comfortable, clean, and spacious. The bed is large and clean, medium firm with good support. The bathroom is well-equipped with amenities, while the small living room makes for a decent working or dining area. The in-room wireless internet is fast and stable.||Food is served at Latif Restaurant, which only operates during the day for breakfast and lunch. The place traps noise, so peak periods are particularly loud and buzzing. In the evening, operations are handed over to 3rd-party brand BBQ Olive Chicken & Beer, which specialises in Korean Fried Chicken. Their rendition of chimaek / fried chicken and beer is excellent, yum.||Service is efficient and transactional. Beyond the reception at the lobby, there isn't much opportunity for interaction with staff. That said, the housekeeping is fast and efficient, and the restaurant staff work quickly to clean up when diners are finished. Oddly, staff never told us about the various shops co-located with the hotel, we'd eventually discovered it on our own.||The facilities and activities cater to families and business travellers. The meeting rooms are decent and well-equipped, as is the gymnasium, though both are smaller when compared to elsewhere. The game room NOL-PANG has classic arcade games and UFO toy catchers, while the swimming pool is small but offers a beautiful view of the waterfront. Overall, staying at Hotel Regent Marine The Blue Jeju was a...
Read moreHotel Regent doesnât strive to be anything more than it has to be, and thatâs fine. ||The staff is nice enough, but donât speak any english so if youâre looking for that (which is tough and seemingly not standard in Korea) this is not the place for you. Double rooms during the offseasons can only be booked on the 3rd and 4th floors, and this wonât be told to you until after your booking, so be aware of that as well. ||The room itself is clean, but bare. Our room had 2 beds but no bedside table in between them, which might be the first iâve seen. Decorations wise, they donât try, so the âvibeâ doesnât exist, the most color in the room is the orange chair awkwardly placed in the corner of the room in front of the one unreachable nightstand in the room that should probably be in the middle of the beds. ||Bed is comfy enough, AC works great and the location is stellar - by the beach and about a half a mile from the underground mall, and outdoor market. ||Breakfast was actually pretty good. If you know youâre going to go, buy your voucher ahead of time to save some won, we paid about $14 USD each. The buffet had bulgogi, rice, scrambled eggs, sausages, salad, cereal and much more. It was probably the best part of the hotel. ||Overall, Iâd probably not recommend this place to people who are used to nicer hotels (you know, the ones whoâll take your luggage to your room for you? - this is not the one). As per a previous review I ended up leaving a resort early so this booking was last minute, I probably wouldnât have stayed here had I had...
