This review is for all the people who need to use AREX from Seoul station, which is problematic if people did not use this coming from the airport.
When you exit the Metro station, you must leave and go outside. There, you will see escalators taking you to the KTX concourse where you buy your train tickets. This is a major hub. You will see numerous KTX train ticket booths.
You want to go into the concourse of the train station. You should see to your right a white information booth.
At the end of the hall to the far left, you will see a yellow/orange arrow indicating Airport Express (AREX). Go to that direction, go down the escalators to B2.
At the B2 level, go left, you should see an orange information booth. To the left of the orange both is the entry into the AREX platform station. You will see the kiosks. If you bought tickets in advance and have a QR code, the scanner at the gate can do it.

So very crowded place and a strainger like you maybe having difficulty to buy a train ticket, a subway ticket and find a platform to ride a express train bound for Busan, and/or subway line1, line4, airport railway, etc. There are many facilities for travelers, i.e., train ticket machines, free restrooms, restaurants, convenience stores and shopping centers. Read moreSeoul Station also called Seoul Central Station is the main train station in Seoul, having trains going to Busan, Daejon and other big hubs. It is also connected to the Metro.
The Station is connected to a Mall like outlet which has Shops, Stalls and Restaurants. There are two information counters one inside and one outside, the staff inside are very nice and helpful(they know a little of English).
The ticket booking stand is inside. There is a section to do it with counter staff and a section to do it electronically at a kiosk.
There are elevators and a lift aside from the stairs to get you down to the platform. However for my platform the escalator going down was not operational, fortunately the lift was operational as I had a big and heavy bag.
Furthermore there is an outlet mall next to the station called Lotte Outlets which is a multi-level mall with stores selling clothes, food and a...
