It’s ok… But wouldn’t recommend unless you’re a teenager or adult. My children are aged 9 & 11. I had already decided we wouldn’t queue for the rides because I’ve heard in even in October they can be 2hr queues. So we were looking forward to the the wave pool & lazy river. However, the wave pool only has waves once an hour, which was such a shame (probably only 10 big waves in total too). The rest of the time people just stand around, in a flat pool looking hopeful, then disappointed. The lazy river was busy so we kept getting separated, which was a bit annoying (I hate to think how many people they cram in in the summer). It then separates into two paths with no explanation about why. Fortunately we overheard some other people who had been on it, saying the left side was the rapids. So we squeezed into a narrow lane where you literally could not move at all & eventually went up on a ‘travellator’ to the rapids. The rapids was really fun (for me & my 11 year old). However, my petite 9 year old hurt his back quite badly because he fell through the bottom of the ring and scraped his back along the floor in the rapids causing bad friction burns. They need smaller rings for younger guests to make this safe.
Food was ok but only because we had a ‘free burger’ with our twin ticket - wasn’t nice enough to pay for! We left just after lunch.
Loro Parque on the other hand (twin ticket, same company) although busy, was fantastic. Food same as Siam Parque - just about edible! Tip if driving to Loro Parque from the West side of the Island drive the long way round, past the South then the North airport on TF1. We went directly North on the way there & the mountain twisty turning roads weren’t fun! But the other way is all dual carriageway/motorway (takes 10 mins longer but an easier drive).
In Loro Parque do not miss the Sea Lions. They...
Read moreI have a very mixed review of Siam. We bought the all inclusive fast pass VIP cards for 165€ per person.
I did not at all find the “all inclusive” part worth it it was not in any way “all inclusive” and sort of felt like a scam and cash grab.
We arrived at 11am and it took about 20-30mins to get our wrist bands- the first person directed us to the next person then to an info office where we waited in an administrative area to be thrown the bands with no explanation of what next or where to go. We then were told they did not have any towels as included so we’d need to buy them for 20€ each, we then went to the lockers and those were out but they had a small single one left we could share. . once we did put everything away we went to the slides. The fast pass saves a lot of time and is the only aspect of the ticket we used.
The food that was “all inclusive” was very limited and extremely mid quality to low quality. About 75% of things I tried to order I was told was not included, including crepes, coffee, most sodas at many locations and additional items. I ended up w a burger where the meat quality was so poor i didn’t eat it and settled on just some fries that were cold and a small soda in a cup that looked to be for kids. If i was to go back I’d just get the fast track and skip the food.
Another issue was everything required credit card payment but as you are always on slide and the lockers are far away, I’m not sure how you are supposed to pay - i saw many people had also bought the waterproof holders for their phone and cards- which again was not included or explained to us - if anything i’d expect you could pay with your bands and check out before exit. .
Also Siam Park is sort of overpacked even when not at capacity. It’s best to think of this like visiting time square or grand central station but with...
Read moreAbsolutely love this place. We went out of main season (early October) and arrived at 09:30hrs - the rides don't open until 10:00hrs but we got there early to sort a locker (€7 small, €10 large) and headed off to the bigger rides and got first in the queue. We got on every single ride at least twice and commented how a Fast Pass would have been wasted. There were small queues for the main "headliner" rides but nothing more than 20 minutes so if you're there for the whole day at that time of year you'll get the most out of the cost of the standard ticket.
Given the captive audience, food isn't bad and reasonably priced - head for the Thai Kitchen for the most choice but there is very little for vegetarians / pescatarians so if you want a baguette 'sin carne', take your own. Likewise if you have children in tow as it will be expensive for a family.
Safety and queue control is superb - the lifeguards have a very strict system and follow safe protocols which are firmly imposed which makes it safe, fair and just for everyone. Worth noting: most of the "headliner" rides are for 4 people and, given the need to maximise capacity, this is adhered to quite ridgedly. If you are a couple, they'll pair you up with another couple but if you are an odd number, you'll have to wait until 'a four' can be made up - even if you have a Fast Pass. It's worth checking out what rides this applies to before you go so you can work out your approach beforehand.
Last points to note: Take you sea shoes or sliders (stipple concrete is a bit tough to walk on all day). If you're there for the rides, this does require quite a lot of hiking up hills and steps to get to them - so not for those with serious leg or joint conditions
Otherwise - ENJOY!! You'll have a great time; it's not called The Best Water Park for...
