Absolutely Shocking experience. We booked to go here as the reviews were so good. Well... where shall I start:||1. Been traveling since 1am and arrived at 12.30pm. Could not check in until 3pm. We were told to get a drink from the pool bar. We went to the pool bar (a huge queue) waited 10 mins to get served. Ordered our drinks and asked for some chips (crisps). He gave us the drinks and refused to give us the crisps. Asked him why he said he didn't want to and went on to serve the next person. We gave the drinks back and said we don't want them in that case (by now everyone was looking at us, I was so embarrassed). The 2 bar men sniggered at each other. A few seconds later the other bar man pushed the drinks to the end of the bar and gave us the crisps and said he was only joking. ||2. Finally got our room to find blood stains down the wall, the shower tray was pink and orange with body scum, I refused the room. The next room smelled heavily of smoke, I could not stay in that room either as the shower tray was also not very clean. Room 3 was better. The furniture was all chipped. The the unit under the TV was only held together with a bracket and looked like it was going to collapse. The TV wasn't straight and was at a downward angle.||The mini bar (if you could call it that) consisted of 4 bottles of water, 2 bottles of larger and 2 bottles of coke. If you are expecting a mini bar to be full this is all you get (pointless us upgrading). We finally managed to get a kettle to be able to make tea only to find the socket only worked intermittently, we had to keep changing sockets.||3. I had a 10 day stay and the sheets were only changed on day 8||4. There are no tea making facilities in the room a coffee pod machine only (I don't drink coffee)||5. Restaurant|| - you can only have a cup of tea with your breakfast. You are not allowed to have tea at lunch time with your meal or at evening meal.||- There were flies over the sweet desserts and pastries.||6. Tried to get served in the entertainment room in the evening. Waited 20 mins so went to the bar. Got told very sternly and rudely to go and sit down we will serve you. After waiting a further 5 mins someone came to take our order, when it came it was wrong. This happened a lot. There are not enough bar staff in the whole hotel to accommodate the number of people using it. The pool bar is the worst. There were queues of up to 17 people waiting to be served. You have to queue in a line which takes you over the bridge covering the pool to the other side of the pool (the queue is that long and it is like that all day everyday). You can't even get served at the table by the pool side.||If you are expecting some lovely cocktails there is a very limited selection. You can't even get a strawberry daiquiri - you can only get a mango one :(||The measure of spirits they give you in mixer is very small you can hardly taste it. I'd say the measures are smaller than the optics in the UK. I don't drink a lot of alcohol but it was almost as though the spirits were watered down.||7. Pool toilets constantly running out of toilet roll and not replenished for hours||8. Rude staff - I was dancing with someone when one of the activity reps (who looked like Prince William) stepped between us took the other persons hands and started a personal dance with them. Leaving me on the dance floor looking like an idiot dancing on my own.||9. When going into the men's toilet a woman cleaner just walked in whilst people were urinating in full view. Did not knock or call out to say she was entering. Another embarrassing moment.||10. You can only get tea from the pool bar not coffee. You can wait in the long queue and ask for coffee only to be told to go to the tea shop at another pool side. If you do get a cup of tea you can't get a tray so you end up with burnt fingers.||11. We even saw children in pushchairs in the hotel (supposed to be adults only).||12. I went to visit the customer relations rep Marina (I believe that was her name). After listing all the concerns she said 'No, no I don't believe that. That is not true' basically called us liars. She was definitely not a customer advocate (which is what a customer relations person is supposed to be) she was the hotels advocate.||||Absolutely awful experience. Will never go there again. I definitely would not rate this a 4 star hotel, maybe 2 at a push. My experience may have been a one off, but I would advise people to think twice before booking here. Just to note one more thing, don't take you room towel to the pool area you could get charged. You have to go to the spa and pay 20 Euros deposit for a towel you can use by the pool which you get back when...
Read moreThis hotel is advertised as 4 stars, but I think that is a bit generous. The welcome upon arrival is great. The staff are lovely, the entertainment team are wonderful. With regard to the dining, the food in the buffet restaurant is lovely and lots of choice for salads, great cheese station, plenty of breads etc. Fresh meat griddle area with chefs who cooked meat or fish for you while you wait. Although not a huge amount of choice if you are vegetarian or vegan as the food is never labelled with ingredients or vegetarian or vegan symbols. The desserts were also very lovely. The food can be bit repetitive, but what would you have the hotel do? They don’t throw the food out if it is perfectly good, they will try to make something with it the next day. The Italian a la carte is lovely, and AI (All inclusive) guests can dine there once a week. The hotel itself is definitely in need of redecoration and a refurb as it is in places tired and tatty. Wallpaper peeling from walls, scuffed doors and skirting boards on the room corridors. We have stayed at this hotel a few times and have now noticed cutbacks which I am convinced are going to affect the star rating of this hotel. For example, gone are the fresh bottled water either still or sparkling that was previously available at mealtimes and at the bar area. Now it is decanted into reuseable glass bottles from a water machine and brought to your table. The water can sometimes have a strange taste and most of the fizz is gone. There is absolutely no heating in the rooms which is a shame as although the weather here is good all year, in the winter it can get cold late evening or when you are getting dressed for dinner. The thermostats were there, but they had obviously been disconnected. The safe in the room now has a charge of 25 euro. On the plus side we had a nice room (not 4 star no way) but which was kept spotlessly clean by our lovely hotel room attendant. Most rooms do look out to the sea, with some having a view over the road out the front. My room itself, however, was again in need of an uplift. The shower pressure was poor, and the temperature fluctuated during busy times, i.e. before dinner. |The weather is of course 90% guaranteed to be great, although in the winter the days are obviously shorter, so sunbathing between 9.30-5.30. This brings me to the pools. There are 3, 2 of which are unheated, so no one hardly using them in December as they were freezing! The third pool is heated and was a lovely temperature so gorgeous for swimming. Plenty of water aerobics and exercise classes too if you want to participate. A well-stocked gym poolside is a nice touch as its not tucked away in the hotel. Yoga classes were held in there as well. On the subject of swimming, you have to leave a 20 euro deposit to obtain a towel on arrival. I accept that they don’t want people taking the towels home etc. However, I think that the practice of charging you 1 euro to change a wet towel for a dry one, is ludicrous and petty considering the thousands spent on the holiday. All exercises and sports activities and classes are free. Having said that, the equipment for the sports and exercise is in real need of refurbishment and in some cases replacement. The uneven pool table needs the worn baize replacing, the cues were warped or broken. The dartboard was falling apart. The table tennis bats fit for the bin. |They do a gala dinner for Christmas day and NYE but ask that you reserve a table for the gala entertainment. This reservation comprises you buying a bottle of drink which is then allocated to a table for 2 people. That’s all fine until you see the price list – even for AI guests, no one is exempt….wait for it, are you sitting down? a bottle of cava 45 euro, vodka or spirit 80 euro, house wine 26 euro! As there were 3 of us, we were asked to buy 2 bottles as we were expected to reserve 2 tables! Shocking and a total rip-off. Craziness! A lot of very unhappy guests.|Overall, we had a wonderful time and met some lovely people. It is a shame about the negative points raised, but I have tried to be fair in my comments. We will go back but we will not be attending any more Gala nights at those prices! Especially, when we are all...
Read moreBrilliant hotel and would definitely return. |This was our first time staying in a H10 and it did not disappoint. We paid for 7 nights all inclusive, in a Junior Suite which was upgraded to a sea view prior to arrival, we had a room on the 10th floor. |Upon arrival to the hotel we was offered a complimentary drink while we awaited check in. Check in was quick and efficient and we headed to our room. We was provided with beach towels, complimentary chocolates and fruit sweets in our room along with a bottle of water and selection of toiletries. The mini bar was stocked up although we did not use the items (these are chargeable). The bathroom was stunning with a decent size bath and also wet room style shower. We were also provided with towel robes and slippers which were a nice addition. The view from the room was beautiful and perfect for capturing those beautiful sunsets. ||Food in the evening buffet restaurant is nice with a good selection ranging from cold meats and salads, to fresh off the grill meats and selection of hot sides. There was a wide selection of dessert options, from fruits to cakes and chocolate fondue. The breakfast menu was pretty much what you would expect from an all inclusive, consisting of hot full English style, conventional options, breads, cereals, fruits, omelettes, crepes and yogurts.|We did not go to the restaurant for lunch, instead opting for stacks from the pool bar Drago which offered a selection of sandwiches and crisps. Check the app to see the menu offered. ||The pool areas are lovely and clean with plenty of sunbeds and parasols for everyone, we went to the pool between 10/11 and never struggled to get a sunbed, however if you would like a particular location then it’s best to head there at about 9am, the Pool staff will remove towels before 10am if you are not at the pool to stop people reserving the beds for the day. There are 3 pools to choose from, the smaller rectangular pool by the gym is the most shaded of the 3 and typically gets the sun around 2pm so if you want some shade this is the one for you! The main pool gets quite busy as this is where the pool bar ‘Drago’ is, this bar can get a bit busy at times and would advise wearing shoes as the floor can get a bit slippery on the little bridge. The ‘middle’ pool as I called it is probably the warmest of the 3 pools in my opinion if you are going to go for a dip. |The Pool is open 10am - 6pm although we was laid outside until gone 7pm a couple of nights, there is also two jacuzzi pools in the pool area. ||Evening entertainment was good, it was mainly singers and there is an option of sitting inside or a covered outer area, my only criticism of the evening bar service in the entertainment area is that it is very slow despite the hotel not being very busy, we was told to wait for table service however after 20 minutes nobody came so ended up going to the bar, just very confusing as to whether it is table service or self serve, but the cocktails were very nice and the staff are very friendly.||The hotel is lovely and quiet and only a short walk down to the main bars and restaurants, there is a lovely boating dock about 10 minutes away from the hotel where you can get a lovely view of the sunset. |The beach is pretty much right out the back of the hotel should you wish to spend a day there although there are limited parasols and sunbeds are 6€ to hire for the day. ||Siam Park is a brilliant day out and only. 5minute taxi from the hotel. We paid for the VIP package prior to going and although it’s a bit pricey it’s well worth the money, unlimited fast pass to the slides, locker and towels included aswell as food and most drinks. The hotel booked our taxi for us and it arrived within 5 minutes. ||On the whole we would definitely recommend this hotel, we are a couple in our 30s and there was a nice combination of activities and nightlife nearby should you want it. The hotel is very well maintained, clean and tidy with wonderful staff who are always willing to help. |I hope this review helps and people have a lovely...
