Barcelona Beach Apartments — Attraction in Barcelona

The check-in was a breeze - all done with a code and the flat was ready on time, great! Same for the check-out, except the host was kind enough to let us check out a couple of hours later so my partner could work in the morning - and we had lockers at the property, good detail! The host also met us after checking in to show the map and clarify some situations. Very welcoming! The location is great if you value the beach and there's a rooftop that must be cool in Summer but I just used it for some pictures of the beach. Many restaurants and minimarkets around! WiFi is good throughout the whole building and there's a lift, which is rare in such properties. Also, there's AC though see below. Plus points to the coffee capsules that are included. Bear in mind the flat is tiny (~30 sqm) which is fine for a short stay but no more. The property is starting to show its age, with wear and tear throughout, which was a bit unfortunate. The bed is middle stiff (OK) and the bedsheets are satisfactory but the blankets are short and inappropriate for a king-sized bed. I was told it's because all the guests are German but I'm not so I was disappointed by that. The flat got cold at night which made me turn the air conditioning on. Then a stale smell invaded the flat which can only be attributed to bad maintenance. The worst was the bathroom. There were big patches of mold in the shower which hints lack of attention to cleaning or lack of maintenance. Furthermore, there was no hot water for 2 showers in a row, which, at the end of the day, is disappointing. Given the price charged, it's unacceptable. The workaround is to have a single shower in under 10 minutes. Do I have to compromise on showering? (also, no toiletries were provided except for hand soap, which one gets in accommodations half the price). The area is very quiet but the flat being on the 1st floor means you hear everything that happens on the street, from street cleaners to tourists to neighbors. The Barcelona-styled string shades didn't do a good job of keeping the lights out, which made sleep a bit more challenging. The walls are paper thin, meaning I was constantly hearing neighbors flush their toilets. Shared Wifi in the building means unsafe networks for working so keep...

We wanted to stay near the beach since we have been to Barcelona before. This room was perfect. It has all the amenities you need. I think it is said to welcome 4 people pr. room, but my opinion is that it is suitable for 2 adults (and maybe 2 kids). The location is perfect. 2 minutes walk to the beach, 15 minutes (beautiful) walk to Las Ramblas. There's not a lot of shopping in the area, but this is not a problem as it is easy to get to the shops if you want to. The restaurants in the area are very good. The beach is great. Loads of people and a good vibe. I don't think the water is children friendly - it gets pretty deep pretty fast. I give this place my best recommendations. By the way: A guy representing the agency came and met us at the apartment, we paid, he gave us instructions...worked perfectly. You have to call him approximately 30 minutes before arrival.||||- there are towells in the room||- there is a flat iron, hairdryer, microwave, fridge, tv||- Free wifi for the entire stay for 10 euro||- Narrow staircase...

We visited Barcelona on February's break. Place situated very close to the sea (3 min walk) and with walkable distance from the most popular places like Las Ramblas or Europe's best-preserved Gothic Quarter, as well as amazing architectural works by Gaudi. We chose 5th floor just to have a sea view but it was possible only from a little roofs terrace. The apartment was nice, clean and cozy with all the equipment you need to daily life. However the fridge was not working properly. All you need to make a food you could buy in nearby local shops or in the quite big local supermarket (5 min walk). Unfortunately we could hear our neighbours a few times...nice music but at 3-4 am?! And the bed was not double like they advertised but twins so it was not comfortable enough for couple... Generally a very nice place to stay in and a good price for it. I would recommend it...
