Description of hotel is not matching at all:| - Hotel has very poor condition of hygiene and smell is disgusting from very entrance, ground floor. |- Breakfast is awful, kettle doesn't boil water, even after 5min wait. There is hardly any choice for breakfast. All look very over dated and looked horrid - my older child was bitten on first night by bed bugs, has 2 marks on his skin - Window in room has massive gaps all over window frame and very drafty.| - Noise from outside was like there is no window at all. |- no hairdryer , was advertised to be |- 1 only socket was soo close to wall ,I couldn't connect adapter, just impossible, had to buy a lead on market with smallest end. |- but most importantly, on arrival at 10.30pm on 25th, our room 206 was occupied by someone else. I contacted hotel owner via WhatsApp number and after 1h discussion they booked hotel opposite for 1st night for us as even if they ask other people to leave, we can not stay in already used room. That hotel was nice but expensive for me to book rest of my stay there without full refund, and bed and art hotel refused to fully refund me. Kids were in distress and cried all this time on 25th until we been rebooked. Hotel opposite was nice , but stress this caused is unbelievable. Kids were scared to come back following day to original hotel next day. We paid for 2nd night there, dispite high cost of it. Owner threaten via what's up if I dont come back to room , it get cancelled as hotel make their own rules and I must come back. Bed and art hotel should have minus stars, due to horrible and in need of repair condition of building inside and smell. I wouldn't call it hotel, it's has very bad condition due to smell, dark light and poor hygiene everywhere. Kids also refused to eat there. Some people that saw kids crying on arrival 25/12, asked how much we paid and said they only paid 25 dollars per night so we been ripped off as we paid over 1100 euros....THIS PLACE NEED massive REPAIR||We feel ripped off||Do...
Read moreTrying to be objective. It's a very arty place in terms of decorations, a bit random but I quite liked it. Very quiet, of course you hear (feel) the metro passing by, but you're in the centre of Barcelona so complaining about it is totally out of order. The staff did their best to be lovely and accommodate us in the best way, bless them. Our bedroom felt not so clean but honestly I think it was because of the old look of the floor in it, because the sheets/towels were perfectly clean and the bed made really well. Would be nice to have some bedside carpets cause the floor super cold in a middle of January. But the room was warm enough to have a comfortable sleep. Was also nice to have a little balcony, we could see our van parked downstairs so gave me more of a peace of mind. The bathroom/toilet was acceptable clean and water in the shower really hot. No kitchen to use, not even a kettle. The included breakfast was rather symbolic, instant coffee (honestly, not drinkable), cheap packed croissants and muffins, a few toasts with jam, I'd honestly prefer a tiny good coffee instead of a huge mug of really bad one, and one toast of real bread with a proper jam or honey instead of all of those. Overall, for this amount of money you can find better value in Barcelona, but still worth considering as it's one of the good ones between the cheapest places...

We’ve stayed in an en-suite room with a lovely glassed balcony and sitting space which overlooked one of the street. The hostel is very tidy and room was very clean.||There were some confusion around entering the building initially as there were issues with the key pad to gain entry and relied on other residents to let us in off the streets. The building appeared mostly residential.||The breakfast was simple- we made the owners aware of 1 vegan diner prior to arriving, however there did not appear to be any accommodation to this. Breakfast was a typical continental of ham, cheese, toast, Jam, croissants and two cereals so I purchased my own milk to have brews and breakfast.||The rooms unfortunately were not super quiet. One night we were kept away for some time by another hostel user ringing the bed and shouting down the corridors. It was easy to hear conversations, laughing and singing through the walls, however this was not the fault of the hostel but some of the guests. ||I would recommend the hostel, it was very clean and easy to access the city from with most attractions and tourist destinations within 20 minutes or so walking distance. The staff were helpful, beds comfortable and perfect for what we needed....
