Meatshop Tattoo — Attraction in Barcelona

SHORT REVIEW: Very clean, everyone is nice. The price is great. They speak English so that was very helpful. They have multiple artists with different styles so whatever you want they have you covered. Location is beautiful. I will visit again next time I’m in Barcelona.

LONG REVIEW: Great place to get a tattoo, very clean and everyone is nice. I made an appointment of the following day, so I didn’t have to wait long. After showing the reception a reference tattoo of what I wanted she referred me to their tattoo artist Andrea, which was perfect because I liked his portfolio. (B.T.W. they have multiple artists with different styles so I’m sure whatever tattoo style you’re looking for they will have an artist for you).

The day of my appointment I met with Andrea and we talked about my tattoo. He got my references and made it his own because they don’t copy other work which is always great to hear. After a few minutes he had the drawing ready and we went to the workshop.

It didn’t take long, about two hours. We talked about Berlin (My next stop in my backpacking trip) and he gave me suggestions of where to go and what to do. Once he finished, the tattoo came out great. I am beyond happy, it’s always a great day when you get a tattoo just how you imagined.

I searched for an artist to turn my ideas into ink for years before I fell upon Meatshop Tattoo. I now have an ongoing project with Peter, which we started at his very charming private studio in Spain.

I found out fast enough that Peter truly understands and masters his craft in a way that exceeds expectations, his wealth of knowledge and experience is there to guide your vision into something so unique and impactful that you can’t help but give him all the creative freedom you can give! (and you should!)

The result so far is beyond what I can put into words. When I see and feel my hand drawn and anatomically aligned ink it honestly never ceases to amaze me; it isn’t just a tattoo on some skin, it becomes one with you to turn your skin into a mystical story that you’d be proud to carry along this journey.

My experience was just as amazing when I visited the Meatshop at the heart of Barcelona, everyone on Peter’s team was wonderful, warm and very friendly; surely a melting pot of astounding creative minds from all around the world.

Just started a major back piece with Inga and Peter at Meatshop. Inga came up with an amazing design for me (I love her art nouveau style), which she then tattooed onto me as a stencil, then Peter spent the next few days bringing it to life.

Both Inga and Peter are absolutely outstanding artists with the best skills I have ever experienced. Lines are perfect, dotwork is immaculate and the whole piece looks absolutely amazing - I kinda regret getting it on my back since I can't look at it without a mirror.

From the initial inquiry to the last day I walked out, Inga and Peter were professional, prompt, friendly and really went out of their way to make sure we got as much of the piece on me before my body tapped out.

The studio is clean and comfortable, in an easy to get to location, and plenty of good vegan food around. Ink used on me was vegan - just discuss your requirements when you make a booking enquiry.
