Mercat de Santa Caterina — Attraction in Barcelona

Personally I love coming to this Market, is full of different shops and stalls and the best of all is you can sit and eat at the food stores they serve hot food on the go. It can get busy very quickly especially during holiday seasons and lunch times. I recommend to visit during weekdays is quite and not too crowded and can browse the stalls at you own pace and try various fresh fruit drinks and the local cuisine. On my last visit here was on a Saturday, first time taking my kids here to show them the difference the market place is different to UK markets. It was great fun the kids find it fascinating and enjoy various snacks here and there but this enjoyment was cut short as I felt someone pickpocketing my new mobile phone I got and on my Birthday today. I stopped on my track trying to see who it was, it's difficult when this place was so crowded on weekends it's packed like sardines. The good thing is being so crowded the thief couldn't get very far as I looked around me and chose the person near me likely to be the thief. We made eye contact but he couldn't run so I asked him nicely for my phone back and in his false pretence he did not understand English, so I decided to include some over 18 language there and then he reached his pocket and handed my phone back . That was a great relief and I just left it at that and lesson learnt and eventually caught up with my family and they didn't event know what...

Actually this market is one of the expected place in barcelona, because of here is the traditional market and example of architecture renovation. But I really disappointed 162. Fruites torrent selectes's price and information center.

First of all, they don't show the price but foolishly, I trust them because here is traditional market... it's my big mistake. I choose some fruits and request the bill but he said total price is 24.28€! I thought it is really expansive but maybe it is because of apple mango. But After show the bill the cheapest fruit is apple mango. The detail of the price is like below.

After check the bill, I requested refund because it's too expansive and unreasonable. But they said CANNOT REFUND. So I told the information desk and they said they can not help us and I have to solve with the market.

I really recommend you that if you have plan to go this market, please check the price on the board in front of every fruits, Do not buy at the no-price tag market.
