The Santa Caterina Market is a must-visit for any food lover. The market offers an impressive array of fresh produce, meats, seafood, and prepared foods. The modern design of the building makes for an inviting atmosphere and provides a great shopping experience. One of the highlights of the market is the variety of fresh seafood available. The selection of oysters, mussels, and shrimp is particularly impressive. The prepared food section is also a standout, offering a range of dishes from traditional Spanish tapas to more modern fusion cuisine. The prices are higher than some other markets in Barcelona, but the quality of the food justifies the cost. The market is also conveniently located near many of the city's major tourist attractions, making it a great spot to grab a quick bite or stock up on ingredients for a home-cooked meal. Overall, this is a great place for anyone looking for high-quality ingredients and new flavors.

162. Fruites torrent selectes Apple mango-1ea-6.18€ Peach-2ea-4.25€ Yellow tomato-2ea-2.69€ Mini tomate-7ea-3.04€ Cerry-21ea-8.12€ Actually this market is one of the expected place in barcelona, because of here is the traditional market and example of architecture renovation. But I really disappointed 162. Fruites torrent selectes's price and information center. First of all, they don't show the price but foolishly, I trust them because here is traditional market... it's my big mistake. I choose some fruits and request the bill but he said total price is 24.28€! I thought it is really expansive but maybe it is because of apple mango. But After show the bill the cheapest fruit is apple mango. The detail of the price is like below. Apple mango-1ea-6.18€ Peach-2ea-4.25€ Yellow tomato-2ea-2.69€ Mini tomate-7ea-3.04€ Cerry-21ea-8.12€ After check the bill, I requested refund because it's too expansive and unreasonable. But they said CANNOT REFUND. So I told the information desk and they said they can not help us and I have to solve with the market. I really recommend you that if you have plan to go this market, please check the price on the board in front of every fruits, Do not buy at the no-price tag market. Please be careful and keep the beautiful memory!

Worst place in Barcelona. Full of scammers. Or maybe not full, but just a meat stall?? We bought some iberico ham (€4.59 per 100g) in a pre packed packet of 110g and paid €6.00… I thought it’s a bit too expensive, but checked too late… Another scam at the same counter: selling meat cones staffed with plastic with a few little pieces of meat covering this plastic. I was shocked and my child was very disappointed. Not sure if they treat locals the same as tourists, but I would never come back for sure. Stay away from the Iberico meat counter (not sure the exact name of the stall) OR check everything properly before paying these scammers. Better go to La Boqueria for way better experience.

For a place to camp out in a rainstorm, this place was awesome and they serve food well into the afternoon, which isn't the case everywhere in Spain. It's a beautiful space, cozy with friendly staff and a very creative menu. I got adventurous and decide to try the VEGAN carbonara...although I wouldn't call it carbonara (how can you top real eggs, cream, and bacon??), it was delicious! Made from zucchini and squash noodles with a wonderful umami sauce, the flavor was great and it was very satisfying and comforting, how carbonara is supposed to be. A glass of wine, and an oat milk café con leche afterwards to top it off. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
