Dined here yesterday with my family and I'm only leaving a review because of how ridiculous and utterly unacceptable the owner's replies are to my family. I do not understand how this place has such good ratings when it deserves at most 1 star. Bread was definitely stale despite them claiming that it was baked fresh that morning and everything was generally unappetising. The owner claimed that we kept asking for discounts there and then when in fact we did not and we only asked to cancel a coffee order that was not made yet. I do not understand why our milkshake was not served before or together with our meal, and we specifically told them to cancel our milkshake order if it was not ready yet but she told us it was done. It only came after we heard them blending behind in the kitchen - if it was ready why was it not served immediately when there was almost no other customer in the restaurant? I also do not understand why we had to wait for food that was served cold?? If it was going to be served cold it could have been served immediately. The owner claimed that we ordered 4 meals for 5 of us when we ordered 1 item each for brunch (3 american breakfast, 1 french toast and 1 lotus waffle) whereby the portions were really not enough to fill our stomachs. We only finished the food because we paid 44 Euros for the disappointing lunch and we were starving so there was no reason to waste the food and our money. The owner also mentioned that we "don't want to pay the full amount and keep saying 7.20 euros for one meal is expensive" and that we demanded discounts by force when that did not even happen so I don't understand why she is trying to use misinformation to paint us in a bad light so that she can try to defend her business. We are just a family trying to give our honest opinions about their food because we were so disappointed by the stark contrast between the ratings and the actual quality of the food and their services. Accusing us of damaging your business out of racism is absurd and it is a cheap tactic to discredit our reviews. We hope that you will stop using lies to defend yourselves and maybe use these reviews to improve your business for future...
Read moreThe enviroment is OK (they have air conditioner) and the service is also good (they waiters are nice). The problem is the food. I ordered an English breakfast and the beans had a sour taste, like they weren't fresh, the champignons had a taste like they weren't fresh, like they were in a refrigerator for so many time mixed with other foods, and they absorbed the taste of other food, kind of disgusting. My wife ordered an avocado toast, and the guacamole was the Mercadona's guacamole, not a natural taste. In my English breakfast was also a sausage and it looked like they didn't fried it, it looks like they just heat it 1 minute on a microwave, the sausage look creamy but not fried, and again it tasted like it wasn't a fresh food. i wouldn't...
Read moreThis tiny place had the most insanely, delicious, chocolate-filled pistachio croissant!! Located around the park (the one with no pond) fronting La Sagrada Familia. I highly recommend anyone nearby to stop by this cafe for a fulfilling snack or refreshments. If you go to Barcelona hoping to get a taste of superb pastries, this is the place. The best croissant I've had in my 60 years, and was the icing on the cake for my best pastry search during my visits to Europe. The pleasant baker lady bakes all her goodies and plans on making apple pies, in which I suggested she make crisps and cobblers, but rather that she stick to her croissants. I look forward to revisiting and...
