Silk Museum — Attraction in Valencia

Interesting museum but a bit pricey for 9 euros considering it’s quite small. Plus they only have a handful of audio headsets so you are expected to use a QR code reader on your phone to access the audio yourself. Works great if each person in your party has a phone AND if each person has their own QR code reader AND you have a decent connection. We (2) had one phone with poor download speed so the audio kept pausing to buffer. We gave up and just read the info panels, which, BTW, could have been better lit. This, for me, was an opportunity to check out some medieval samples of textiles. This is a small museum, highlighting Valencia's role in the global silk market in the past. Ideally, I would like a few more labels for the displays, as I would like to be able to confidently identify the rather lovely audio guide. This lovely museum is in a beautiful old building and offers an interesting overview of the history of silk production in Europe. It’s a must for a visit to Valencia, the city developed in the Middle Ages based in silk production.

The hands on demonstration was very informative and the gift shop sells some beautiful silk products at reasonable prices.
