We were looking for a good halal spot and this place came up in our search. The reviews looked good so gave it a try. The food was bang on the money, the owners are Syrian and very humble, welcoming and made the experience very pleasant for us. The servicing size were generous and the food quality and taste was amazing. We ended up ordering more food and had a really good time. One of the owners was kind enough to offer complimentary dessert, baklava and haressa, both was amazing and loved the overall food and experience. Would definitely recommend anyone in town and looking for memorable halal food experience.

Ich hatte Falafel mit Humus und Salat. Ich erhielt Falafel mit Hummus und einer anderen würzigen Paste. Salat fehlte. Dazu gab man mir einen Ayran. Auf Nachfrage hin sagte man mir, es gäbe keinen Salat dazu. Der Vorbesitzer hatte das so verkauft, sie empfinden es aber als keine gute Kombination. Das Gericht heißt aber Falafel mit Salat und auf dem Bild sieht man es auch so. Leider sehr missverständlich. Ich hatte es nur des Salates halber bestellt. Naja. Man gab mir jedenfalls den Teller und sagte: "Now you can take Selfie and leave good revue". Ich habe mich dann darauf eingelassen und die Falafel probiert. Sie sind okay. Ich habe definitiv schon viel bessere gegessen. Es fehlt an allerlei: Ich denke sie bestehen nur aus Kichererbsen. Es sind denke ich keinerlei Gewürze und Kräuter enthalten. Schmecken bisschen fad ehrlicherweise. Am Ende wollte ich zahlen und man berechnete mir den Ayran. Ich war verwirrt, weil ich den nie bestellt hatte und dachte man gäbe ihn mir als Geschenk, vllt weil der Salat fehlte. Daraufhin sagte der Mann "ah ok. Kein Problem. Ich lade dich ein. Hinterlasse einfach eine gute Rezension, das ist genug für mich." Schwierig. Ich bin zu dem Laden gegangen, weil es 5 Sterne hatte. Mein Essen war definitiv keine 5 Sterne. Hummus und die andere Paste waren lecker. Auf Nachfrage erhielt ich auch Nachschlag. Die Shawarma sahen sehr gut aus, leider kann ich die nicht bewerten. Meine Erfahrung war insgesamt leider enttäuschend. Und die ganze Nummer wirke vorallem darauf ausgelegt gute Rezensionen zu erhalten. Ich ärgerte mich jedenfalls darüber extra dahingelaufen zu sein.

I got the chicken shawarma wrap and I can honestly say it was the best shawarma I’ve ever eaten. The chicken was so tender and flavourful, and the garlic sauce tasted homemade. The fries were also great. I love that they fry the pita in oil so that the outside is crispy. The owner is very kind and friendly and was happy to speak English with me. Best prices I’ve seen in Spain so far, especially for Valencia. I can’t wait to return next time I am visiting!

A Syrian friend told me this is the best falafel in town. I haven't tried every place in town yet so can't make that statement myself with any degree of credibility... but I have had some great falafel before, and this ranks right up there among the very best I've ever had. Made in house, not frozen from a bag like many places do. The chicken shawarma was absolutely outstanding as well. And don't forget the baklava! Super nice people running the place - they know what they're about.
