I have never seen a worse relationship with a client! At the reception we were met by a man. The problems began with the fact that we were 5 and the apartment was spread out by 4. Before booking, we talked to the contact person (not the owner of the apartment, as it turned out upon arrival), from two different accounts, and asked if we could settle 5 in this apartment, to which we were told that - no problem. But at the reception we were told that this is impossible, the price will be different. We showed correspondence and in response we received that the manager who spoke with us was mistaken. All dismantling at the reception took us 2 hours, the main problem was that the guy at the reception did not solve our problem, and did not offer absolutely no options to help us and did not even try. During the conversation, he raised his voice and did not communicate clearly. We offered to pay extra for the 5, because the dispute dragged on. But no, we were denied a settlement, even when we said that we would be 4, as was paid, and the 5 would go to another hostel, directly violating our rights. Thus we were left at 19 00 without housing for which we paid, tired after a long journey...
Read moreI liked that the place was kept quite clean - probably also the result of the size, there were not a lot of people during my stay.
My room with 3 beds was very simple: wardrobe and 3 hangers, a commode with a TV, the beds. Air conditioning was also avaible. Except that it was not very inviting for a longer stay.
The common area was often occupied, on the first evening someone cooked and burned something, but due to nonexistent ventilation the bad smell stayed for over 24 hours in the whole hostel. There are only windows in the rooms, all the inside is shut off from the outer world.
The bathroom was usually clean, but the facilities could be a bit better equipment (toilet needed usually 2 flushings, hand dryer was basically not usable due to lacking power).
People working there had a hard time with English. Also the other tenants were Spanish. Altogether communication was a problem, therefore I can't really recommend the place for non-Spanish speakers.
With a price of around 30€ per night during off-season it was not the cheapest and considering the mentioned points not the best choice. If other options seem too expensive it's worth a...
Read moreI mean the house in Denia. I stayed in this apartment a while ago and really wanted to come back, but I couldn't find the listing. Luckily, I had saved Tony's number (the guy with the keys), and he kindly sent me the link. Unfortunately, the apartment was already booked for the dates of my vacation, so it wasn't available. Still, I wanted to leave this review because I was genuinely happy with my stay. The apartment was very clean and everything was in good condition. The location is excellent, and the price-quality ratio is perfectly balanced. Honestly, I don't understand why people only leave reviews when they have complaints—this place has so many great things to offer. Tony was very friendly and paid close attention to every detail, and communication with the office was smooth and professional. The apartment has everything: a pool, a tennis court, free parking, and the beach right next door. And if you're up for it, you can take a beautiful 40-minute walk along the beach to reach the center of Denia. I would definitely love to come back...
