Very disappointing experience.
As a newcomer to Switzerland, I booked a gynecological appointment through the clinic’s online system and selected the only preventive option: “Consultation contrôle annuel.” Despite this, the clinic billed the visit as if it were for illness, later claiming I should have “specified” it was preventive — even though I had already chosen the preventive check-up option from their own site.
The result was almost CHF 800 in bills (CHF 388 from the clinic and CHF 431 from Unilabs for Pap smear and STI tests). I have private insurance that would have covered nearly the entire cost if the coding had been correct. When I requested correction, the clinic refused unless I paid an extra administrative fee — effectively making the patient pay for their mistake.
Update based on their reply: the problem was not with the insurance company nor the basic insurance. My Helsana COMPLETA would have covered the additional Unilabs tests and the consultation itself as a check up if they were classified as a check up in the invoice - as I had booked in their website. But everything was classified as a consultation- as if I had a symptom and went to the doctor because of that, which is not true. Read moreJe déconseille fortement. Toute la grossesse de ma femme a été ponctué de problème du à l'organisation. Aucuns rendez vous n'a joué correctement. Les rendez vous pris pour les échographies à l'hôpital sans nous prévenir, des annulation des rendez vous 5minutes avant alors que nous somme dans la salle d'attente. Des prises de rendez vous (carton à l'appuie) non noté dans leurs agendas... J'en passe à ce niveau, un médecin qui oublie de prévenir que le niveau de fer est à 7 après la prise de sang alors que la moyenne vital est de 28. Oublie aussi de prévenir que ma femme a le streptocoques qui implique donc un risque pour l'accouchement etc. Je déconseille à tous la doctoresse "Marras", incompétence, intolérance et négligence sont ses seul qualités.
