The place is itself unique and with a breathtaking overlooking view of the lake and Alps. It is quite steep to reach there but I think it is worth it. You can see the nearby historical Anglican church there too.

The Old Town of Montreaux is neither particularly historical, nor interesting. It's a quiet, residential neighborhood that can only be called old relatives to most of the rest of the city. There are many more beautiful old town areas of cities and towns throughout Switzerland. Don't waste your time...
