To distort our experience and amuse the reader of this review I had put an 8 mm fish-eye lens on my Olympus om-1 camera. We were well aware that if you want to avoid excessive crowds, you should not come here evenings and week-ends. Also, if you come by car it may take longer to find a parking than the time you would have spent taking public transport to Montreux. Weather was beautiful with a sunny haze over the lake and people were in a good mood. Nevertheless, there is little really unique to be found in the some 150 stalls. Read moreThe Montreux Christmas market was fun and had many interesting stalls with snacks and food, there is even a flying Santa that comes every hour after sunset at 6pm and 7pm. Plus, there is a light on ice 🧊 ice ring near the Christmas market, it was very delightful and there was an ice bar which you needed tickets separately for but was amazing it was - 10 in the ice bar! However, there were a few things that were disappointing - it was very very crowded and there were long lines for food. The flying Santa was there for a limited amount of hours and left children waiting. The light on ice even though had entry by ticket was very crowded and small.
