I am shocked. This is my first time giving a one-star rating. It was my worst massage. For the first time throughout the process, I couldn't relax and kept thinking about leaving as soon as possible.
Literally everything was bad. They placed me and another client in one room and pulled the curtains between us without asking for our opinion, which violated privacy and made the atmosphere uncomfortable. The massage therapist periodically talked loudly with another therapist, asked me inappropriate questions, and interfered with my concentration. The strangest thing was that the masseur called me “farang” when he saw how tight my back was and started laughing loudly. Do you really find this funny?
The quality of the massage was also very mediocre and unprofessional, with lazy and meaningless movements. I asked to avoid some areas, but they still touched them. The therapist's movements were very rude, scratching the skin and not bringing any pleasure. At times, when they tried to crack my bones, the therapist's movements were very harsh and even dangerous. Again: very unprofessional.
I have been living in Thailand for many years and have visited various massage places, so I have something to compare it to, but this is the first time it's...
Read moreI recently visited Calm Massage and Spa for a head massage. The ambiance of the place is truly lovely—calm, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. They also have a beautiful tea showroom inside, which is a nice touch if you enjoy herbal teas or are looking for a souvenir.
Although I’ve had many massages before, this was only my second massage in Thailand and my first time trying just a head massage. Perhaps I’m not familiar with the specific techniques used here, but personally, I value the energy and intention of the therapist, which unfortunately I didn’t quite feel during this session. The pressure remained focused on one specific area for much of the hour, and it became a bit overwhelming since there wasn’t much variation in technique.
That said, the staff was very warm and welcoming, and I imagine that their full-body or other massage treatments may offer a different experience. It might be worth giving...
Read moreAwful experience where one of the masseurs kicked me and didn't apologise mid massage then slammed the door on her way back in and although apologised for this, they then laughed together and talked throughout our head massages.
They had a form we completed upon entering which had a feedback form on the back they never asked us to complete upon exit. I wonder why...
We reported everything that went wrong, including two very different massages when we asked for a head massage, and they said they won't refund us but would only provide us a new head massage or (cheap) thai massage.
As if we want to return to this awful place...
It's over priced, unprofessional, not customer based at all. Don't judge a place by the way it looks as it comes across as professional yet they are evidently untrained and rude.
We've never not tipped in Thailand for any type of massage and this was the first. What a...
