I had a very good massage here. I noticed that many people complained about not liking this or that but it also seems that they did not communicate what they didn't like. I am quite the opposite. When I noticed that I wasn't enjoying my massage at all, I stopped the therapist and swapped her out for another one. This is allowed at many spas and they took it in stride when I asked. They also asked a bunch of follow up questions to make sure they got it right the next time. I don't think the other therapist was bad I just don't think we were a good fit. This happens, and when it does it's on the customer to say so. The next therapist had the right touch for my body and we communicated throughout the massage. When something hurt I said so, and it was often so good I fell asleep, which never happens. I was able to feel knots melting as she did her work as she focused on the spots I asked her to focus on which I appreciated. The shop was very clean, well lit, beautifully decorated and professionally run. They also made up for the time lost due to switching out etc. My only note is that when the therapist start on the back they should start with their hands to feel where the knots and pains are, not the elbows as one cannot feel anything with their elbows, and you might end up injuring the customer. I know we're in the land of smiles but I think they'd appreciate your feedback in the moment so as to fix it, rather than with a...
Read moreWe opted for Aroma Thai massage in early March 2024. The first push by the stout masseuse employed her whole body weight and my wife heard a cracking noise with chest pain. She broke her rib. The rest of the session was on her head and neck and limbs only. When we reported the incidence, the receptionist said she would not do anything unless we saw a doctor. Being an orthopaedic surgeon myself, I know how to deal with rib fracture.
We sent messages and emails to them the night of the injury, asking for addresses of their hospital as my wife experienced more pain a few hours after injury, but there was no reply as it was outside their business hours. We did get a reply after we had checked out from the hotel the next day.
Almost a month has passed and my wife, though improves, still has some discomfort when she stretches or lies on her tummy. And we never get any note or email from the facility, showing that it just doesn't care about its injured customer, as long as it pockets the money.
We have more than two decades of massage experience all over the world and this is the first time that it results in injury. A well trained masseuse will test her customer first before putting on full force. It's a pity that I cannot give it a zero star rating but we will never visit this...
Read moreWent there to fix my stiff neck and shoulder, I couldn’t even lift both my arms above my shoulder height. Chiropractor recommended massage rather than going to them.
This is a long review: please be patient.
Very welcoming reception and most importantly, clean and professional. Paid upfront upon booking and arrival to feet wash before adjourning to treatment room.
I asked for 4 hands imperial massage to save time and as distraction, I knew I am going to have pains given my situation. I also asked for “hard” massage.
It was so painfully good. Why? I can feel my twisted muscles getting straightened and I immediately feel and breathe better after the pain and tears.
Therapist can tell I am in pain and kept checking in with me. I asked her to continue and she skilfully fixed my neck, shoulder, arms and even fingers.
Can’t thank them enough, they recommended me herbal ball treatment after so my muscles can heal. They didn’t hard sell, they went out and used hot towel to continue my massage and I immediately feel better so I opted for additional herbal ball treatment.
From what I can tell, they know the proper massage ways and they know how to adjust accordingly to the situation.
Definitely...
