Worst experience I’ve ever had in my life!

I had an appointment with your salon with a regular stylist. I told her to keep the same length and just trim a bit, besides I showed a set of reference picture to her. But she cut it in a very messy way and made my hair very short and ugly!!! I was extremely angry at that moment she told me she finished. In this case, how should I do?! I didn’t scold her or blame her for the fault, but suggest her to straighten my hair again and adjust . She did, but still a disaster.

I didn’t know what to do at that moment. She acted as she was very innocent. (When I told her I hate this hair you did to me, she said “yes yes”, i was like what you are talking?!) I should have left without paying anything and blamed her in front of everyone in the shop, but I did NOT.

I felt so sad for this experience and what a huge waste of money!!

I’d rather recommend you to go to those shabby small barber shop, than this looking-good but...

I can’t say enough positive things about my experience at Boy Rikyu. This location is off the main roads, tucked away in a little garden and simply serene. From making the appointment to completing services, everything about this place was top notch and professional. Senior stylist and manager Tuk did an amazing job rehabbing my Covid hair which resulted from my girlfriends and I playing home salon. We did a cut first only because I was going scuba diving and Tuk advised me to come back for color since the salt water would strip it out. I really appreciated that she was willing to shift my color to a later date, even thought I had booked her out for a cut and color initially. Tuk was able to blend our home color job into a new style and gave me new highlights that could be lived in, since I mentioned it’s too expensive for me to maintain color at home in the US. She even stood on a box to ensure that the crown of my head was colored evenly. I’ve never had a stylist go to such lengths with attention to detail. See pics for before, during, and after photos! I had a haircut and coloured my hair pink in January. What I liked about this hair salon: I was happy with the haircut and believe they use high quality products. They also pay attention to detail and make sure no colour touches your face etc.

What I didn't like: I asked for the price via email and described my hair and what cut & colour I wanted before booking the appointment. Once I arrived at the studio the price ended up being much higher than in the initial email even though they already emailed me that it needs a double bleach. Since I was very much looking forward to the glow up and I was already there, I decided to go with the higher price. Unfortunately the colour didn't turn out as on the picture I showed. It was a cooler pink and gave the vibe of a carnival wig. Also, the bleach was a bit inconsistent, so when the colour washes out a bit, it's different shades of pink in the front and bottom than the rest...
