Watching a live Muay Thai match at Bangla Boxing Stadium in Phuket was an adrenaline-pumping experience from start to finish! The energy inside the stadium was electric, with the crowd buzzing in anticipation before the first match even began. The rhythmic sounds of traditional Thai music played during the fights added to the authenticity, creating an atmosphere full of excitement and intensity.
The fighters were incredibly skilled, and seeing them perform up close was a thrilling reminder of the precision, discipline, and strength involved in Muay Thai. Every punch, kick, and clinch had the crowd on edge, and the roar of the spectators as a fighter landed a critical strike made the atmosphere even more intense.
What made the experience even more special was the mix of both locals and tourists, all equally caught up in the energy of the event. The small size of the stadium meant that every seat had a good view, and you could feel every hit, hear every cheer, and share in the collective excitement.

This is an absolute TOURIST TRAP!! Do yourself a favour and don’t fall for it, after reading several reviews I was skeptical about the legitimacy of the fights and let me tell you the fights are FAKE..!!
Firstly I want to put in that the second match a 17 yr old small child was fighting, take that as you will but it made me feel quite uncomfortable and then to see staff trying to get patrons to bet money on a child fighting it doesn’t sit well with me ethically but make up your own mind.
So anyway, As soon as you enter the stadium the staff walk around offering a bet on one particular match, you basically don’t have a choice on the fighter you pick and it’s just a 1000 tbaht rip off from tourists. We started to suspect it was a scam and the fighter would throw, so In that match the guy you bet on put himself on the mat in round 2 after not even being hit. It looked totally ridiculous for a heavy guy falling over pretending to be knocked out. Please beware this is not...
Read moreWent there a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely nowhere near as good as Sainamyen. No comparison. 45 minutes of the same screaming voice-recording before the fights started late. Fights start, bloke screaming in the microphone what I'd just witnessed..."right kick..left punch". Sainamyen was just awesome live music enticing better fighting. Far more professional vibe, scenery/decor, seating.
Rip-off betting dominates a lot of it. I couldn't understand what I was being offered by them constantly badgering me to bet, but I think it was 6/4 EITHER COMPETITOR (1000 baht, return 1500). Don't bother. More expensive tickets. 50% more expensive drinks. Far less professional. Couple of good fights, but nothing like the vibe of Sainamyen. You can literally get the same on Phi Phi for free with...
