Watching a live Muay Thai match at Bangla Boxing Stadium in Phuket was an adrenaline-pumping experience from start to finish! The energy inside the stadium was electric, with the crowd buzzing in anticipation before the first match even began. The rhythmic sounds of traditional Thai music played during the fights added to the authenticity, creating an atmosphere full of excitement and intensity. The fighters were incredibly skilled, and seeing them perform up close was a thrilling reminder of the precision, discipline, and strength involved in Muay Thai. Every punch, kick, and clinch had the crowd on edge, and the roar of the spectators as a fighter landed a critical strike made the atmosphere even more intense. What made the experience even more special was the mix of both locals and tourists, all equally caught up in the energy of the event. The small size of the stadium meant that every seat had a good view, and you could feel every hit, hear every cheer, and share in the collective excitement. For anyone visiting Phuket, catching a live Muay Thai match at Bangla Boxing Stadium is a must-do. It’s an unforgettable experience that brings you face-to-face with one of Thailand’s most revered sports, leaving you breathless and buzzing with excitement long after the final bell rings.

Good place with VIP and normal seating. Would recommend getting normal seats as VIP seats are all on same level, you may have to dodge some heads to get a clear view, closest most people to the ring would probably be getting all the sweat and blood from the fights. Normal seating is on the edges but has levels so you get a clear view. Ticket was 1500 thb per person and u get a free Muay Thai shirt. A cute dj girl too putting bangers between fights. 9 matches in 1 event, with 5/6 rounds. Gets done around 1130pm. Drinks n food are not allowed inside, although you can BUY drinks/beers inside, you may ask them to return ur bottles when leaving. I guess that's a money making part after buying the tickets too..

The fights are entertaining but you soon realise after a while that it is a very touristy place. None of the locals are there to watch matches and it is just tourists. Also as a person with zero clue about boxing, some of the matches do seem rigged. There's a greater advantage to the foreign fighters and the local fighters are getting knocked out within round 1. There's also staff going around asking for bets. I'm not sure how skewed the odds are but I would suggest avoid betting because matches do look fixed. If you want to get in the ring to put garlands on players/give out the championship belt, the referees are willing to accept bribes to let you on. To add on, I went on a rainy evening and the stadium does let some rain in from the ceiling. Just something to take note of.

Aussie Review ! We booked VIP with an agent in the street, thinking ring side seats all good. No , they are seats on floor level close but not front row. Would I do VIP again …. No . Rather be in the stand just slightly higher than ring. Lesson learnt . The night we went , a Wednesday wasn’t much of a draw card of fighters so went with the feeling of over priced for seven fights ….. not sure how much the fighters get paid . Drinks ….. beers are at hotel prices … again over priced . End of the day ….. great if you like a fight….. some with effort , some not so much effort. Was it worth the dollars ….. no . Appx $80 each AUD for VIP which was not front row. Drinks over priced …….

Bangla boxing stadium. “Tonight, come see the best of the best “, if you ever visited this arena you will hear this introduction for 30 minutes prior to the event beginning. You can purchase tickets at the entrance of the stadium or alternatively purchase them for the vendors around Patong. I purchased my ticket for a lower cost from these vendors rather than the stadium. Drinks and snacks are available at the venue.Security and safety is well organized . Overall a lovely experience to see multiple Thai boxing fights. Not sure if it’s would the cost

First time going to Muay Thai or any striking physical contact sports. Wow that was pretty intense. One of the guys next to me collected some blood after one of the competitors. So yeah ring side VIP has some downsides as well. Night went from about 9pm to just on midnight. So $75AUD for 3 hours of entertainment was pretty good. Can't bring in drinks but they sell over priced ones there. Lots of lovely ring girls mainly from the crowd it seems. The atmosphere was incredible for one match between an Austrian and Israeli guy.
