Patong Seafood — Restaurant in Patong

This is the worst restaurant I've tried in Thailand in 14 days. I love seafood, but after this experience I found it disgusting. Not well cooked, and ingredients not well-combined. The service was awful. First of all, cocktails are not what they are supposed to be. We ordered a Mojito and a Caipirinha... Not even close. I asked for a seafood pot and the kind of seafood it contains, the waiter said it contained only calamari and prawns. Fine. This is what I expected... But it was a mix of scraps of everything. Only one prawn, and (I'M SERIOUS) parts of crab's shell containing nothing. When I asked to the waiter, he said again it was made with only 'calamari and prawns', but when noticed the 'mixture' he said 'seafood', and then said again 'calamari and prawns'... He was obviously confused without answering my questions... It was clear that staff don't even know the menu. The waiter was always around, I would say too much, but he wasn't helpful. You have to ask for everything, from the napkins to the bowl to wash your hands... The only good thing I found were oysters. Those were great. Ah, of course, it is really overpriced for what you get. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anybody. I hope I am the 'unlucky' one, but faces around were...

WARNING: DO NOT EAT HERE — THIS PLACE IS DANGEROUS!

This so-called “fresh seafood” restaurant is an absolute nightmare. Our seafood came out cold, and yet they had the audacity to charge ridiculous prices. I didn’t eat it because I was disgusted, but my boyfriend, starving and trusting them, ate it anyway.

He became violently ill in the middle of the night, vomiting nonstop for two hours. Emergency services had to be called to our room at midnight. He has never been this sick in his entire life, and a doctor confirmed it was caused by their food.

This experience has traumatized both of us and destroyed what was meant to be an amazing trip. My boyfriend is now stuck in bed, extremely weak, and our holiday is completely ruined — all because of this reckless, unsafe, disgusting excuse for a restaurant.

Do not eat here. I don’t care if you’re hungry — your health is worth more than this place will ever deliver. They are a serious health hazard. Avoid...

Great food, many people sick!

Patong Seafood is in a great location near Bangla Road and the beach, and the food was undeniably delicious. We visited as a group of 20, and the staff impressively managed our large party quickly and efficiently.

However, within 36 hours of dining here, 10 out of our 20 group members became severely ill, with one person requiring hospital care.

While the food tasted great, it's clear that their food handling practices need serious attention. Many other reviews have expressed similar concerns about becoming ill after eating here. I hope they take the necessary steps to improve hygiene and safety, as it’s a shame to see such a well-located and popular spot fall short in this...
