Although generally a little up-market (expensive), Silom complex is home to a Tops supermarket (relatively inexpensive), a SuperRich currency exchange (best rates in Thailand), & a number of Japanese restaurants including my favorite, Coco Ichybanya Japanese Curry house!
Silom Complex is only approx. 80m from corner of Silom Rd & SalaDaeng Rd, which in the early evening is bustling with Street food vendors & footpath eateries. In the other direction, only 400m from Patpong Night market. The Soi (laneway) behind the complex is home to an excellent local street food Market / food court.
When in Bangkok, I always stay at Bandara Suites Silom, & the free hotel Tuk-Tuk will shuttle guests directly to the Silom Complex via the rear lane entrance, which is very convenient.

However, for menswear enthusiasts like myself, choices were limited. Only three catered to men's clothing, and two specialized in suits. While perfectly suitable for office attire needs, it meant a lack of variety for casual shopping.
