I waited several weeks after our trip, hoping Turks Tour Company would address our concerns, but unfortunately, that hasn't been the case.
During our visit to Turks and Caicos, I booked a "glass bottom boat tour" for myself and my 14-year-old daughter directly through their website. I paid in advance and included a generous tip, expecting a memorable experience.
On the day of the tour, we arrived as scheduled. The tour felt very abbreviated. While we did see a few turtles, some coral reefs, and fish, the experience felt rushed and underwhelming.
Our group included a four-person family, a couple, and a six-person family with two young children. One of the tour guides spent a significant portion of the trip taking photos of guests who were interested. However, at the end of the tour, we were escorted off the boat without any opportunity to review or purchase these photos. āThe other guide did most of the ātalking during the tour pointing out various things of interest but it was difficult to hear since we were at the front of the boatā. The only interaction was a request for a tip, which I had already provided in advance and now regret, given the subpar experience.
Following the tour, I reached out to the company multiple times via email to inquire about the photos. Despite my efforts, I never received any images to review. Instead, I was promptly sent an invoice for $100 to purchase the photos, without any assurance of their quality or content.
Overall, the experience felt overpriced and disappointing, especially considering the brief time on the water and lack of follow-up. I hope Turks Tour Company takes this feedback seriously and implements improvements to enhance future customers'...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis tour is sold as a tour of reefs, marine wildlife experience, turtles and cays visit. Except itās all about selling you their photo packages. When we got on the boat, the so called guide (photographer) asked if he could take a few pics and we said yes, thinking it would be just a āfewā and the focus of the boat ride would be what they advertised as the bay tour and see all wildlife marine activity in the bay and reef, etc. None of that! As soon as we departed, picture taking starts, of all of us but mostly of my daughter. He was asking her if she had a boyfriend or if she was married which made her feel very uncomfortable. He was telling her what pose would look good and so on. The guy driving the boat (a disgrace to call him Captain) was looking at his phone most of the time. Needless to say, we only saw 3 turtles and very small fish which could have been easily seen snorkeling at the beach in the early morning hours. The boat tour was only over the reef and the grass area, nothing else to see. Of course as soon as we came back he had his photo packages ready for purchase on his computer. I would not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe recently took our family on the Clear Glass Boat Tour with Turks Tour Company, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience and we were very impressed with how kid-friendly the tour was. The clear glass bottom of the boat allowed our kiddos (age 1-6 years old) to see all the incredible marine life that Turks had to offer. Their faces were literally glued to the bottom of the boat!
Our tour guide was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly engaging with the kids. He made sure to point out all the fascinating creatures we encountered, including turtles, stingrays, and a vibrant array of tropical fish. His enthusiasm was infectious, and he took the time to answer all the children's questions, making the experience both educational and fun.
The tour was well-organized, and the gentle pace allowed the kids to enjoy every moment. Watching their faces light up as they spotted colorful fish swimming beneath us was priceless. I highly recommend the Clear Glass Boat Tour for families with young childrenāit's a wonderful way to introduce them to the beauty of marine life in a safe and exciting environment. Five stars...
