If you want to relax - go there, if you want to have fun with friends - go there, if you want to make a date with your girlfriend/boyfriend - go there. The park at the upper end of Monastyrsky Island merits another entry because of how much is squeezed into such a small space.

One of the first things you’ll see is a Ferris wheel and a kitsch Soviet-style amusement park aimed at the smallest members of the family.

A nice park with some quirky things, like giant chessboard and giant chairs to sit in. There’s a restaurant selling traditional Ukrainian food and some kiosks selling coffee, pancakes and ice cream. Popular with students from the University next door. If this park isn’t your thing, then head next door to the botanic garden, where you’ll find a less manicured area in which to relax or go for a stroll.
