Bogdan Hall — Hotel in Kyiv

I had a good experience at this small self-contained Hall although, it was noisy during the night, with students coming and going. It is very close to the Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv (0.2 miles).and other attractions, such as a nice walk the Michaels and St Sophia’s monastery, and 0.6 miles from St. Volodymyr's Cathedral.||On arrival, I was greeted by a friendly, Ukraine housekeeping staff. She was very polite, efficient, and prompt. the house keeper was was also responsible for checking in. no management team was around to make complaints to, its a case of fend for yourself.||Pleasant place, but it is hidden by the museum in the background with a rough car park. ||I had everything I wanted in this studio apartment. The shower was hot and powerful, easy to use. The room had plenty of storage space to put your clothes in ||Wow it was amazing, and I was surprised how so much plus was fitted in with the double bed and flat-screen television fix to the wall, a good size bathroom with own boiler for heating the water, this was never needed, because the water was always hot. Wi-Fi is free, there is a lovely park across the road where you can sit and relax. Museum of Western and Oriental Art is only 2-minute walk.||The lounge and dining areas are merged into one compact space, but given enough room for manoeuvring, Bogdan hall exceeded my expectation and perception for a student resident.||Although this was in an excellent location, the bed was uncomfortable and dated, Bogdan hall was noisy...

The manager rudely addressed me upon arrival because the initial information I received from Booking.com was unclear as to price. Furthermore I told them my planned arrival yet there was no credit card terminal. They told me I had to wait 20 minutes for that. I paid cash and the rate that the owner requested. They did not issue me a receipt per usual Ukraine standards.I never stayed in the property and returned the key. Yet somehow, my credit card was charged after the fact. I find it interesting that the property could not charge me upon arrival but could charge me for 2 nights without even using the room. Не люблю оставлять негативные отзывы, но рекомендовать Bogdan Hall я категорически не могу, так как остались ужасные впечатления от номера и сервиса. Сразу после заселения мы обратили внимание на очень неприятный запах сырости, сильный холод возле окон, и невозможность полностью закрыть шторы. После этого, спустя 5 минут использования горячей воды в душе, она пропала. В течении 40-50 минут бойлер совсем не нагрел воду, поэтому пришлось общаться с администрацией. Это был очень неприятный разговор, нам сменили номер на другой по итогу, но такого похабного общения с гостями я еще не встречал. Во втором номере тоже был противный запах, но уже пахло сигаретами, спинка кровати полностью облезла (см. фото). Также оба номера абсолютно не имели звукоизоляции, было слышно разговоры, звуки мобильных телефонов и шаги из других номеров. Сантехнику в душе явно давно не мыли в обеих номерах, фото также прилагаю. Еще стоит заметить, что 13 месяцев назад я снимал номер за 630 грн ($22 по тому курсу) без каких либо скидок и номер был в состоянии намного лучше, а в этот раз заплатил 1170 грн ($41.63 по текущему курсу). Чем вызвано такое повышение в цене я не понимаю, учитывая что даже парковка во дворе стоит...
