ย ย ย Read moreI recently went to this waterpark on a school trip during their Ladies Day event. What was supposed to be a fun day turned into one of the worst experiences of my life. After spending the day there, I went to the showers and got ready to leave with my school group. When I tried to open my locker to collect my things the bracelet they had provided didnโt work. No matter what I did, the locker wouldnโt open. I waited in line at guest services for at least 30 minutes, only to be told to find a security guard in blue. When I finally found one, a woman told me to go back to guest services which made absolutely no sense. I explained to her that I had already waited and that all I needed was help opening my locker. I told her I was going to miss my school bus if I didnโt hurry. Still, she refused to help. Feeling helpless and desperate, I eventually spoke to a senior staff member, who finally agreed to open the locker for me. But when she did, my belongings werenโt inside. Instead of helping me, she started screaming at me for โopening someone elseโs locker.โ I was shocked. I knew for sure that this was my locker and my friends were there, backing me up, confirming it was mine. I pleaded with her to help me find my stuff, to offer some kind of solution, but instead, she kept yelling at me. At this point, I was standing there in my swimsuit, shaking, panicking, and feeling completely humiliated. More people started to notice, asking if I was okay. The attention made it even worse. The workers continued yelling at me, and time kept ticking. I couldnโt find my belongings, I couldnโt calm down, I felt like I couldnโt even breathe. I had a full blown panic attack. For over an hour, I was stuck in that nightmare. I fainted and lost my balance from how overwhelmed and exhausted I was. No one from the staff seemed to care and instead it was only my school friends and teachers who were helping. Eventually, after realizing the mess they had caused, they opened up the rest of the lockers and found my things in a completely different locker, on a different side of the room. It turns out that because they allowed way too many people in far more than the number of lockers available and the bracelets could open multiple lockers, some people were switching lockers, taking others stuff out and moving it around. It was pure chaos. What hurts the most is not just losing my things itโs how I was treated. The complete lack of respect, the awful organization, the dirty and overcrowded facilities. Everything about that experience was bad. I came all the way from Dubai for this trip, and instead of happy memories, I was left with panic attacks, tears, and trauma. On the ride home for more than 2 hrs, all i could think about was the way i was panicking and how everything felt at that moment. Even three days later, I can still feel the weight of that day. My voice is completely gone from crying and struggling to breathe. I canโt even remember the fun I had at the beginning because of how deeply this experience affected my mental health. I will never go back to that waterpark, and I wouldnโt recommend it to anyone. No one deserves to be treated the way I was treated. No one deserves to feel so powerless, humiliated,...
ย ย ย Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Yas Water Park, and overall, it was a thrilling and enjoyable experience. The park boasts a wide variety of water-based games and attractions that cater to all age groups and adrenaline levels. However, while the games were undeniably fun and conveniently located, the overcrowding issue left a bittersweet taste in my mouth.
Firstly, let's talk about the positives. Yas Water Park offers a diverse range of rides that ensure there's something for everyone. From heart-pounding water slides to relaxing lazy rivers, the park truly caters to different preferences. I particularly enjoyed the high-speed rides like Dawwama and Jebel Drop, which provided an exhilarating rush and left me craving for more. The park's attention to detail in designing these rides is commendable, with impressive theming that adds an extra layer of immersion to the experience.
Another positive aspect of Yas Water Park is its layout. All the attractions are conveniently located close to each other, allowing visitors to move easily from one ride to the next. This makes it convenient for families or groups with different interests to split up and reunite without much hassle. Additionally, the park provides ample seating areas, shade, and food outlets, making it easy to take a break and refuel before diving back into the excitement.
However, despite these positive aspects, the park suffers from one significant drawback: overcrowding. During my visit, the park was filled to capacity, resulting in long queues and wait times for several rides. Waiting for at least half an hour for some of the popular attractions was not uncommon. This not only dampened the overall experience but also made it difficult to fully enjoy all the rides and activities within a limited timeframe.
The park management should consider implementing measures to address the overcrowding issue, such as limiting the number of daily visitors or introducing timed entry slots. This would not only enhance the experience for individual visitors but also ensure a more efficient operation of the park, with reduced wait times and increased guest satisfaction.
In conclusion, Yas Water Park offers a wide array of exciting water-based games and attractions that are conveniently situated near each other. The rides are thrilling and well-designed, adding an extra element of enjoyment to the overall experience. However, the issue of overcrowding significantly hampers the park's potential, leading to long queues and wait times for certain rides. With improvements in managing visitor capacity, Yas Water Park has the potential to be an even more incredible destination for water park...
