I’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere at Fanar and the service was good during my recent visit. However, I was disappointed with the food portions. I brought my guests who were visiting from Australia for breakfast for four, but the servings felt quite small. The minced meat portion, for example, was barely enough for two people, and I hardly got any myself. Only 4 small emirati pancakes were served . I feel 8 should have been the appropriate amount. Juices were served in very small glasses, and although tea was agreed to be served with food, I had to request it again after waiting. There were also no napkins on the table, one glass for juice was cracked. When I requested change , they did offer another cup until I asked.

Food & Drinks: I ordered the mutton biryani and vegetable makhni. Both were delicious. Their portions are huge. I would say the meat dish alone would probably be enough food for 2 people. The sauce in the vegetable makhni also pairs great with the saffron rice that came with the biryani.
Their karak was great as well, rich tea flavor but not too sweet. A great drink to finish the meal with.
Service: Everyone in the restaurant was super friendly. When I was overwhelmed with the options available on the menu, my server David explained me the differences between each dish and helped me decide on what to order, which I greatly appreciated.
