We booked a staycation in Dubai (Aug 31-Sept 1) to celebrate my sister’s birthday, hoping to enjoy some quality time together. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Mr. Rodel, who assisted us with our luggage. He was extremely polite and accommodating, making us feel welcome right from the start. However, our experience at the reception during check-in was disappointing. When we approached Mr. Abdelrahman at the front desk, he requested our IDs. My sister provided her Emirates ID since the room was under her name. Unfortunately, I had forgotten my physical ID and asked if an electronic copy of my Emirates ID would suffice. He immediately said, “No.” I explained that I had forgotten it and my sister mentioned that we had traveled all the way from Abu Dhabi. Again, his response was a firm “No, we need a physical ID.” Despite our efforts to explain the situation, he remained unyielding, insisting that only my sister would be accepted. My sister, understandably frustrated, asked to speak with a manager. Abdelrahman continued with the check-in process without further engagement. When the manager arrived, he explained that while the protocol does require physical IDs, they would make an exception this time. While I acknowledge that it was my mistake not to bring my physical ID, the way Abdelrahman handled the situation was far from satisfactory. His repeated refusal without offering any alternative solutions was disappointing, especially considering this is a 5-star hotel. Proper customer service, especially in the hospitality industry, involves more than just saying “No.” It requires understanding, empathy, and a willingness to assist guests to the best of one’s ability. After check-in, we were assisted by Mr. Choi, who helped us with our bags and escorted us to our room. His professionalism and courteous demeanor were a complete contrast to our earlier experience. Mr. Choi, along with Mr. Rodel, Mr. Gaurav, and Mr. Rozaldo, truly stood out during our stay. They were all incredibly helpful, polite, and welcoming, and they deserve recognition for their excellent customer service. Overall, our stay was pleasant, but the check-in experience left a negative impression. I hope the front desk staff receive further training in customer service, particularly in terms of empathy and problem-solving. A simple “No” is not the answer to every situation, especially when guests are looking for assistance.

It was amazing Actually, it's the tallest hotel in the whole world. If you stay there you can enjoy the great view of the city. The higher the floor, the better view. Some rooms have Khalifa tower view, which i recommend, and some others have the river view. The personnel are very polite and always there to help you in everything. Rooms are always clean and neat. No matter when you go out, they just get in there and clean it for you. There is a swimming pool in the hotel which I suggest at night. There is also a gym in which guests were exercising, but I didn't go there. You know I'm not a person who did exercise during the trip. There are some coffeehouses in which you can sit and enjoy your drink of any kind. If you want to read a book or work with your PC, these coffeehouses are good choices because they are not so busy. Ladies and gentlemen, I have to connfess that the breakfast of this elegant hotel is one of the best. Let me explain it: If you are vegetarian, you have lots of options ; fresh peanuts butter, fresh mix nuts butter with chocolate, fruits , lettuce, humus (try the avocado humus) and lots of thing that I can't remember. If you're a person who is crazy about Japanese food, don't worry, because they make it for you. There are also ham, Sussage, fried egg, any kind of bread, tee , coffee, and fresh fruit juice. Try croissants with some new Arabic tastes, which you can't find in any country. Unfortunately, I didn't go to the restaurant. There is a shuttle bus to Khalifa every evening , but if the weather is good, it's just about 20 minutes walking. Last but not least, remember if you wanna go to the airport, be sure about traffic because it's a little busy around there at the beginning hours of workdays.

AMAZING HOTEL! This has to be the most amazing hotel I have ever stayed at. I cannot fault the hotel whatsoever in any aspect. Their valet team are top notch, extremely polite and is of great assistance. Their front desk team is super polite and helped us answering any questions we had. Their breakfast team were polite - let me just hold there. Everyone single person we ever spoke to over our 4 days there were SO helpful, polite, happy individuals!! We saw regular faces of which recognised us and they even approached us to speak to us on how our day was etc and if we needed anything. Even though they meet 1000’s of new people, these little things to ask how we are goes a long way. The room was amazing and spacious, extremely clean of which cleaners came two times a day! It was my birthday that week of which I had mentioned this to them upon booking and so they came and gave me a freshly made birthday cake! It was so thoughtful and nice. Moreover, breakfast was the most delicious I’ve ever had. The place was so big I honestly kept getting lost trying to find my table as there were endless places to get food from. Everyone was so helpful here and you will 110% be in good hands when staying here. There is a reason this hotel has barely any negative reviews. Their service is on another level… I felt like royalty staying there! We stayed at 3 different hotels whilst in Dubai for the 9 days. This is my definite go to (this wasn’t even the most expensive one either) the other 2 hotels were actually more higher rated! But this is by far my favourite. This is the only place I wouldn’t stay at if I were to come to Dubai again, I hope to see you guys in the future. Thank you!

My recent stay at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai was nothing short of exceptional, offering a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and culinary delight. Upon arrival, the grandeur of the hotel's architecture set a splendid tone for the stay. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, with the staff exuding warmth and professionalism. The room I stayed in was impeccably clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated. The bed was plush and comfortable, ensuring restful nights, and the view of the Dubai skyline from the window was breathtaking. One of the highlights of the JW Marriott Marquis is its diverse range of dining options, catering to a variety of tastes and preferences. Breakfast at the Kitchen6 restaurant was a delightful start to the day, offering an extensive buffet with international cuisines. For lunch, the Prime68 steakhouse did not disappoint, serving succulent cuts of meat with a view that complements the culinary experience. Evenings were particularly enjoyable with visits to the hotel's bars and lounges. Vault, located on the 71st and 72nd floors, offered a sophisticated ambiance with panoramic views of the city, making it an ideal spot for cocktails. For those who prefer a more laid-back atmosphere, the Bridgewater Tavern provided a relaxed environment with a great selection of beers and bar bites. The JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai truly excels in providing a luxurious and comfortable stay, with a variety of dining and leisure options to suit every guest's preference. It’s a place where one can indulge in the finer things in life while feeling completely at home.

This was my second time visiting Dubai. Previously, I stayed at The Sofitel on the Palm. The hotel, staff, and service were exceptional. However, the Palm is far from everything. We had to leave off the Palm every day to visit the city, so to speak. So, this time I wanted a hotel closer to everything and with close proximity to the airport. Aesthetically, this hotel checks all the boxes. It was luxurious. There were numerous restaurants and the staff was friendly and helpful. Some negatives were: my daughter and I arrived at the hotel 9am in the morning after 13 hours of a non-stop flight. We were exhausted, and it was extremely frustrating to have the front desk person continue to upsell and offer me additional services. Even after declining and saying I will give it some thought after getting some rest, the upsell continued. I did not like that. There was no one in front of us, and it still took an hour for us to get our room keys. There were also several lapses in communication. I would schedule a driver or schedule the bellhop in advance, and they would still be late arriving to my suite or when I went downstairs to leave, it was as if they had no idea of our earlier conversations. However, they would provide a car service quite quickly and that I appreciated. As stated earlier, despite some of the lapses in communication, the staff did their very best to provide you with top-notch customer service. The valets and doormen were exceptional. This is highly likely to be my hotel of choice when visiting Dubai again.
