Dear all,
With this review, I would like to inform you about my experience with the branch in Oud Metha of “Little Bangkok”.
I was here several times for the All You Can Eat-Menu, valid Saturday & Sunday.
Welcoming: Once you arrived and opened the door, it takes just a second that someone is welcoming you - very friendly! When it’s busy, it can take a bit.
After assigning a table, you will get the menu card.
Positive: Normally, I don’t like menu cards with thousand of pictures, because it feels like fast food. But here they achieved to find the perfect mix: Understanding the dishes in a better way, plus good quality of the photos. Small detail, but just to mention it :-).
Service: Extremely friendly! It looks like, that a few people from the kitchen switching over the day between kitchen to service and the other way around. Not sure if this is a kind of “understanding all aspects of the business” or just “not enough people”. Anyway, it is quite cool that the guys from the kitchen can explain the food in a perfect way!
Management: This segment of my review goes to the restaurant manager VISHWANAT - just wow. When I arrive (and everyone else), he is smiling (as everyone other team member as well!), very friendly and with patience. This is outstanding!
Meal/Food: Very authentic! My favourite dish to check the authenticity of a Thai restaurant is “Tom Kha Gai” - and they do it perfectly;-). They know me already and aware how I want it. All other items are very well presented and prepared.
Summary: So far, the Oud Metha branch is really great, the combination of service & food is...
Read moreWe have always been fans fo LBK and have enjoyed many a meals and good times whenever we have visited them. We have had many birthdays and special moments celebrated here. So recently we went to their Oud metha branch to have a Birthday celebration. Started off with their Tom yum seafood soup, which was excellent to share with 4 people and for AED68 this was a value meal
Then we got the chicken spring rolls and their sharing platter no 2, which was a platter of prawn spring rolls, chicken satay, fried prawn wantons and nam nuang. Loved all what was perfectly set for you, the chicken spring roll was lacking a bit in flavour but apart from that all of the rest was delicious. The drinks we ordered consisted of Mangogo, chai manao, lovely drinks, decently priced. For the mains we ordered two chicken fried rice, thai green curry seafood and stir fried crispy chicken. This was a perfect combination of order for 4 people. The Thai green curry was delicious, lovely calamari and prawns, thick curry was perfect for the rice. The crispy Thai was another fantastic dish for AED52. This had large red chilli's, was a bit spicy but that was the joy of having this dish, they hold wonderful flavours of Thai cuisine on this one dish, which I...
Read moreFor the drinks I odered Tom Yum cooler. It was full of ice. Even at the 1st sip, it tasted like slight lime juice. Nothing special about the drink. More than half it was with ICE. Middle of the drink it tasted like water. Rather than the lime juice taste.
When made the order we were suppose to get prawn cracker as complements. Now they do not do that unfortunately.
Soup tastes really good. It has the perfect spiciness. There were no soup spoon for the soup. Had to use the regular spoon on the table. After the soup, spoon was not even changed. Had to use the same spoon for the main course. As a well know restaurant these are normal standards. Why these standards are not followed ?
Ordered Kataron Duck dish. It was sizzling dish but by the time it served there were no sizzling effect. But it tasted differently but it tasted good. Highly recommended it.
Mango Sticky rice is really nice. We can choose to have it with Ice cream or not. I ordered without the ICE cream. Perfect temperature and tasted really good.
