The Guildhall Market is a hidden gem. Slightly off the main shopping area, and somewhat hidden behind the Guildhall, it is home to a surprising variety of small shops, mainly owner operated. These include a wonderful hardware store, a pet shop, two selling unique jewellery items, one selling pashminas and exotic fabrics, a couple of cafes, a sweet shop, a second hand bookshop, a haberdashers, a barber , and a lovely shop selling soap, incense, hand-made cosmetic products and locally-made art glass.

The owners and staff are all extremely helpful and knowledgeable about their products, but also about Bath and the local area. They have an obvious pride in their market The building itself is fully wheelchair-accessible (from the High Street entrance) and is a great place to visit, especially if it's rainy outside.
