Even though there is a designated motorcycle bay, a charge applies (the same as for a car yet a bike takes up far less space). Throughout the UK, apart from central London, this council is the only one I’m aware of that charges motorcycles for parking in a bike space. Tickets are a challenge to display on a bike especially when they aren’t self-adhesive.

I arrived in my car and wanted to stop it so I could get out for a pie. This car park offered me several options of parking between white lines, going for a pie, then returning to said car to resume my trip. 3/5 as I had to walk over a bridge and look at some ducks before getting to the pie shop, and sometimes these distractions detract from car parking/pie eating enjoyment. Next time I am in Derbyshire I'll probably look for a car park with fewer scenic highlights so I can focus more on the pleasure of actually...

Very narrow tight parking spaces to squeeze in what they can into an already busy little town. Parking meter isn't brilliant either. If you can park up and its only for 30mins or so you should be fine but really the best place to park is either Smith island car park (ONLY IN THE MORNING OTHERWISE ITS HARD TO GET OUT LATER WITH QUES) or the Agricultural Centre. These car parks are more spacious just maybe a slightly more 5mins...

using the pay machine is not user friendly. they need to bring RINGO or PAYBYPHONE apps. it is not easy for people to understand how to use card to pay for parking. They should stop doing pay and display but encourage park and pay later. This would allow visitors to spend more time without thinking about parking time expiry. Moreover, very limited...
