I’ve been to this cinema a few times over the years, but I don’t remember it ever being this impressive. Honestly, it’s easily one of the best classic cinemas. The place has a real nostalgic charm, proper ’90s vibes that instantly take you back to what going to the cinema used to feel like. It’s a massive venue too, with loads of screens, a spacious foyer, There’s also a pub-style bar upstairs, which adds a nice touch & a cafe along with many other food & drink option’s. We booked the XPlus screening with Dolby Atmos. the sound and screen quality were spot on. Food and drink prices are typical for a cinema. My only complaint was the guy on snacks counter lacked manners and didn’t seem too bothered to be serving. Politeness and attention would’ve gone a long way. Other than that, no negatives. I’d actually love to have seen what this place looked like when it first opened. There are also lots of restaurants within the same vicinity. Nando’s, McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Frankie & Benny’s, Bella Italia plus a huge car park. It’s a solid spot for an evening out.

I needed help in advance of my visit as my online booking didn't seem to want to work! I believe it was Daniel I spoke to on the phone and he has excellent customer service skills. It was really refreshing to speak to someone so very good at their job. When we arrived for our visit, staff were all friendly and welcoming. My daughter even felt comfortable returning to the counter alone which is very unusual for her. Very grateful she was made to feel so comfortable. Really gave her a great experience she hasn't stopped talking about. Especially the amazing slushie drinks! 4 flavours in one huge cup?! Amazing :) Right from ordering food, being shown to our seats, having the Bento boxes explained and brought to our seats and the gent cleaning up the theatre at well past midnight... Staff were so lovely. A great example of amazing service. The gallery seats did not recline... But they were so large and comfortable with drink holder and table.. We sat for over 4 hours and enjoyed our night. Thank you for a lovely night out.

Despite living in Wolverhampton and Cineworld Bentley Bridge being closer, I prefer to go here as it's quieter, cleaner, cheaper and has late night showings (10pm, 11pm and even midnight sometimes) for people who prefer off-peak times. The decor isn't as modern as Cineworld but I don't mind that because it's kept clean and the 90s/early 2000s vibe adds character. I would hope to see an unlimited card in the future where you can see as many movies for one monthly fee. Currently there's an 'Insider' card which reduces the ticket price to Ā£7.50 on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Of course there are reductions for seniors and students too. It's not as cheap as Vue in Star City where tickets go as low as Ā£5 but I'd say the extra Ā£2.50 is worth it to not see an Aston Villa shirt or hear the birmingham accent šŸ˜šŸ˜ Overall, Showcase Dudley is a great cinema with friendly staff, big screens, good sound (perhaps not as thunderous as some theaters but still great) and a free, well-lit car park.

Went to this cinema xmas eve first time as we usualy go to starcity. Will happily say that i will never be going to this cinema ever again. Went to watch spiderman so pre-booked tickets as everywhere else seats were getting booked so booked locally. I walked in and thankfully wasnt that busy. I went over to the food bar were ther was no queu asked the gentleman to which I later saw on his name tag was Steve (manager) if he was serving to which he replied yes. I was about to begin my order when he turned around and said someone else is before me. I couldn't see anyone and he called over a white gentleman from another que. There was around 3 ques. I politely told him that I'm in this que and that man is in another que why shud he be served b4 me to which he replied he is b4 me. I questioned ye but his in another que. As I glanced up I saw the security guard come closer ( iwasnt shouting but being very polite) the security guard just stared at me like his never seen an asian girl before and as if I was about to rob something from a candy shop. I wasnt happy at all as I felt quite intimidated and felt it was bad customer service. The girl who served me was lovely. I was pretty annoyed and actually first time kinda felt it was racism. So after my film finished we was about to leave. I stood at the entrance with my kids and the security guard came up to me in my face like he had some kind of power and said go get out. I was so angry. There was 2 white gentleman standing and he didnt even say anything.i requested he give us couple of mins as it was pouring outside. He shouted quick get out now I dnt care if it's raining I want to go home it xmas tomo.i again politely said I understand of course u want to go home just give us couple of mins as there are still alot of ppl around and we will leave my son has gone toilet. He said I dnt care get out wait in the rain.i said so y are u not telling other ppl who are standing around is it bcus I'm asian? He said dn play that card with me just get out. I said no I'm waiting for my son whose gone toilet his only 13 dnt feel comfortable leaving him inside alone. He said what ur sons 13 and u want to hold his hand in a very rude and intimidating way. At this point I became very annoyed. I said well his my son his 13 and if I want to hold his hand and protect him wats ur problem. At no point did he tell anyone else to go. I mean the other white people standing around. I them said ur actually being RACIST! He was very rude and then started accusing me that I wanted to sneak ppl into the cinema I said are you being serious why the hell would anyone want to enter a cinema closing. I them asked him his name to which he refused! I have never been so angry. My son came so then I decided to go out which he slammed the door and said good riddance. The other 2 white gentlemen came out and approached me and said we apologise for that racist behaviour we are not all the same. Sorry that you had to put up with that as we have been standing inside for ages and he didnt once tell us to leave but only you because your asian. I thanked him for his kind words but was left very very angry. As I was standing outside I still saw alot of white people inside and he didnt go up to any of them aggressively the way he came up to me in face. If they even bother viewing CCTV they will clearly see with the body language how I was treated with my children. I will never be going back to that cinema EVER AGAIN.i felt very very angry after I left. What was supposed to be a pre xmas treat for my children ended up in a big disappointment that I had to come home and write this review. A written complaint will also be sent! SO MANY REVIEWS OF RACISM ON DIFFERENT THREADS! MANAGEMENT REALY NEED THIS ISSUE TO BE SORTED! I HAVE STILL NOT HAD A RESPONSE FROM ANYONE DESPITE MANY COMMUNICATION FROM MYSELF! IT IS COMING TO A WEEK 01/01/22 WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I HAVE ALSO FILLED IN THE BELOW FORM WICH WAS A REPLY TO MY COMPLAINT! THIS WILL BE SHARED ALL OVER MY SOCIAL MEDIA AS I...

My review isn’t particularly about the cinema although I’ve been here a few times to watch latest releases and never had a problem. I’m rating this review 5 stars purely to stay at the top of the list.

So for the last 10 years most mornings or sometimes every morning I go to McDonald’s at castlegate get a coffee and sometimes a porridge, I then drive to the car park at the back of the cinema where I can drink my coffee and plan my day for work. At the same time I see all the wildlife, the sound of different birds etc, with the peace and tranquility also,I see people walking the dogs on here, I see people learning to drive here, people just walking around the car park and probably just to get away from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding busy area. I made friends with the litter picker recently and found the guy a decent and likeable chap, unfortunately he’s retiring now but I probably won’t see him again. So recently I went to McDonald’s, grabbed a coffee and headed to the rear car park at the cinema to you know plan my day, enjoy the peace and quiet, watch the wildlife only to find bollards have now been put up due the minority that use the car park as some sort of drug haven. Mainly those canisters they fill the balloons up with and suck it from the ballon into their stupid heads and then leave the canisters strewn across the car park. It was only recently about the last 1-2 years all this started happening. I had a usual place I would park but then I’d have to park elsewhere on the car park due to the amount of canisters or drug paraphernalia that was left. Absolutely no respect for the area or for any normal person that uses the car park. It’s a real shame that a small minority of irrespective drug users have ruined this for the greater. So I thank the idiots who have ruined this for me and many others who use this space not to just park up but the people including myself who use this space as a get away from the daily grind of life. As a result of this the car park is now used as a overspill for when the cinema gets busy and will unfortunately remain closed when the cinema is quiet. I now have to find another quiet place(which is difficult in an urban area). The guy I see walking his dog now has to find another place for his dog to have a run, the learner drivers will have to find some where else to practice all because of irresponsible and...

Me and my partner was spouse to have seen king Kong and Godzilla " the new empire" , that will be for the next time, but end up watching Abigail "vampire movies " a very good film, loved the line " I like to play with my food" , we got the start time wrong ! . First coming into the show case cinema from the car park "plenty of room for parking ", also easy wheelchair access, that includes the cinemas themselves to see the moves of your choice . It very airy and cathedral like inside with stairs going up to the gallery "that has to be paid for as your own personal cinema " only enough room for two people per chair, and their are ten or five chairs to dark to see clearly , "and you get a personal assistant " he/she will bring you your meals you have ordered when you enter the gallery area, theirs is a waiting area in the gallery it self before you are shown your chair. You don't have to use the stairs to get to the gallery there is a lift I think big enough for a wheel chair or four adults. The main foyer is were you get your foods and drinks from and further on you buy your tickets to the films that you have chosen and access to toilets, their is toilets for wheelchair users, but check first to make sure. The cinema was very clean that's the main foyer and also the cinema itself no leftover container or packaging or food, also the toilets too clean, couldn't check the disabled toilets and there is air conditioning so everything is comfortable either if it's cold outside or warm outside. Overall a very good experience and a nice place to go for...
