I visited this Costa store with my husband and 8mo baby. I ordered mango bubble frappe. I was served mango bubble tea. Simple mistake you would think that wouldnât be a problem to rectify. Well ⌠the girl serving us said I need to wait for her colleague to rectify this. I said OK and went to feed my crying hungry baby . 10 min later still no drink and the girl who was meant to rectify the mistake continued to serve other customers. When I went over she said she didnât make the drink because I sat down (???) I sat down to feed my baby! She was extremely rude with an appalling attitude and said I had to pay ÂŁ0.75 extra as she undercharged me. You would think she would let that slide for the sheer fact that they made a mistake and I had already had to wait. After charging me extra she then refused to make the actual drink!!! She actually stole my money and did not make me the drink. Her name is Darcy. Very young blond girl with a disgusting attitude. She would not give me a name of her manager and there was no store manager in on that day. Both girls had an appalling attitude towards the customers but Darcy topped everything off!!    Read moreEven though I'm a regular Costa customer and I don't usually drop feedbacks, being a coffee lover and expert, I just simply cannot turn a blind eye on the service provided today. Firstly, coming in, queue of 5 customers ahead of me, I ended up being served 20 minutes after my arrival, picking up my drink another 10 minutes after. Queues don't bother me, I must've dropped by during break times or being Sunday, families and friends go out. However having about 30 odd minutes of waiting in total, I've had plenty of time to notice food being handled in and out the oven trays with bare hands, milk jugs rinsed with tap water right before pouring milk inside, milk that had to be brought from the back. From what I've observed, there were 4 employees behind the counter, 2 of them looking after drive thru which was not busy at all, 1 that seemed ' on training ' according to their badge, being responsible for the ' sit in ' customers with all tables occupied. Letting aside all third party factors, although the coffee strength was good, a touch too strong for my liking, I was disappointed with the milk texture and taste. For the last six months or so, whenever you go in you have no idea if any of the staff are actually serving the shop or drive through and half the time they change between taking your order. This visit, they are supposed to open at 09:00 on a Sunday. On arriving, they had put a bit of paper over the 09:00 on the door and changed it to 09:30 - so i had to go through the drive through, this was about 09:10.
