Friendly staff and reasonable prices and some great deals to take advantage of.
On one visit me and my partner had ordered the steak deal, we were informed of a short wait, and it was not a problem and we were thankful for the heads up and communication from staff.
During the wait for our food due to pregnancy I was not feeling great and when my food order arrived my steak was not well done as asked but more medium well..... I didn't want to risk eating it (as normally that is how I would have it) but like I say I was pregnant (1st time) and super cautious.
Although the 2 staff on shift were very busy, I belive it was close to the time of more staff arriving, the bar lady without hesitation assured me she would sort my order out and replace my accompaniments. Her manner was helpful and apologetic.
Being that I had been sick just prior to the food arriving and slightly hangry, without meaning to I may have been a little blunt in my approach. But this didn't effect how professionally I was dealt with. (I did later on apologise if I had come across rude)
My food did not take long to arrive back at may table, however my partner had finished, it was all fresh and my steak was cooked through. I was very pleased with how my complaint was dealt with and although not necessary we were offered complementary desserts for the inconvenience.
My partner was full but I took them up on the offer and had the fudge cake and ice cream. The portion was big and I think the sugar definitley perked me up.
The staff are friendly, always keeping on top of things and they handled the situation more than appropriately.
I would recommend not just due to friendly staff but the prices are fair, and we even had a "first game free" on the pool table. It's also very spacious and close to plenty of Blackpool...
Read moreReviewed today via mobile Misleading Food Discription Ordered a chicken & bacon salad, the food arrived within a reasonable timeframe, but I had 2 bites, and couldn't eat anymore due to my mouth being on fire! To the point it brought tears and a coughing bout! The salad had been laced in some sort of sauce/ salad dressing, when I checked the menu, its stated " dressed salad leaves" but doesn't state what it is dressed in, now normally when I order this meal it gives you a selection of sauces and they normally come on the side so you can not only choose when ordering but you can add your own amount.
We had " no check back" so I had to stop a member of staff, when I explained my issue, I was told that " dressed salad leaves" means it is covered in a sauce( no idea what they used) and then the staff member just walked off, so I left it for a few minutes, thinking he was going to return with a solution, but he didn't,so I stopped a second staff member, explained what had happened with the 1st staff member & my issue with the food, she went off to speak to her "boss" to come back with the offer of a new salad less the chicken and the bacon, which I suppose that in these times is the best they could do as a quarter of a chicken breast and 2 slices of streaky bacon is going to break the bank balance! Fair enough it wasn't no where near an expensive meal, but obviously customer satisfaction means very little to them,as they then cleared away my husband's plates but left mine until I'd finished my drink and left the building.
I think green king need to review the discriptions on their menus so...

Arrived at around 9.15pm and were told by the member of staff that it was “last orders”. I explained that we would only have 1 drink so he sat us down and took our order. The drinks were fine and to be fair well priced, so no issue there.
At around 9.40pm the same member of staff (a young man with ginger hair) told us we’d need to leave soon as they were closing. We said no problem we’ll leave as soon as we finish our drinks.
At 9.50pm the same man came back and told us we we needed to leave, despite 1 of our party having some of their drink left. He said it was government guidelines that we had to leave at 9.45pm and he has already done us a favour by letting us stay later. We said that govt guidelines state we need to leave by 10pm, which we would gladly do. He then changed his mind and said it was company policy. We reiterated that we would be gone as soon as we had finished our drinks and before 10pm. Another member of staff came over and implied we were getting aggressive. We were simply stating we would leave before 10pm.
Then, a group of around 6 people sat at the bar (who showed no signs of leaving at 10pm and were in fact still there post 10pm) said they would call the police on us.
We simply went for a quiet drink to finish off the evening and were left shocked and upset at the unnecessary conformation from the members of staff. It looks like they couldn’t wait to get rid of customers so they could have some kind of lock-in of their own. Terrible end to what had been...
