Right in the centre of Blackpool, just up from the Tower , The Mitre is very well placed among some very good drinking establishments. So going out for a quiet pint is totally out of the question . Very well placed to get to as it's just down from the local Bus Station ; as well as being serviced by busy taxis and tram cars . To the pub itself ; a nice sized well decorated lounge to cater for most age groups . Drank there for most of the day and was surprised by the spread of age groups across the busy clientele. Drink and food very reasonably priced and suites most purses as average for the area. Bar staff are extremely knowledgeable about their products and very friendly ; which makes your stay even more enjoyable . Special mention for the CD , it has everything and it takes a PhD too work it lol . Staff played it regularly to create a great atmosphere . This is a must visit watering hole ; one visit is...
Read moreWas in here last night, for the third time this week. I have never seen a barman with such a bad attitude, rude is putting it mildly. I heard the landlord had been in residence in here for a long time, pity he cant see someone who is ruining the...

When I asked the barmaid about this she said that people can pay for "priority play" which is fair enough and true but I heard the intro of my songs start and saw her skip them behind the bar. So overall. Great pub, great beer but don't bother with the jukebox. In my opinion if the bar staff are going to skip songs then they need to remove the jukebox and allow staff to play their playlists instead of customers like me paying £2 to have their...
