Just such a fabulous place to relax and enjoy the delights of the court and especially the Old Town Salt Pig. What a difference great quality food and drink makes eating in the sunshine. In fact all weathers, the sausage rolls are to die for with a gorgeous cider and Stokes brown sauce. Wow!!! What a flavour. I will certainly be purchasing some from them directly. All I can say is try it and enjoy the quiet ambiance whether the weathers is good or not so good. Chairs tables and cutlery all of good quality. I love a comfortable chair. The staff were very accommodating and friendly especially when I asked for my sausage roll to be warmed through . For me the best place to relax and enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat in Poole.

Newly opened we were treated to an outstanding operatic turn from a local singer. Upstairs in the main room with an art installation to accompany, we listened to songs of the sea for half an hour. What a wonderfully sympathetic restoration. Bursting with interest, new and spick and span. It’s early days but this place is sure to go from strength to strength with the right team behind it. More detail and information needs to be in each room, at the moment there is no interpretation and so much to know! Not everyone wants to speak to someone to find out. Such an incredible job of recreation and traditional craft use has been undertaken - more info about these processes would be amazing too.

We love visiting here. The history is fascinating and the staff so knowledgeable and friendly. We have been to a few of the history themed mornings for children like the Tudors and Victorians and learnt much from them as well as making some wonderful things to bring home. We also enjoy the upstairs classroom and the old toys. Highly recommended a visit here.
