St Nicholas' Church — Attraction in England

Hidden by the overgrown fenced off and disused entrance to this church lie the remains and gravestone of Sake Dean Mahomet. After opening the first coffee shop in London and self publishing a book on his travels, this remarkable man invented shampoo in Brighton, where his salon stood where the Queens Hotel is now. Just walking into the churchyard you immediately identify an old church that is perhaps something Saxon but clearly of Norman build, at least in parts. Then further additions took over in ca. 17th and 19th cent. at a boom time for church expansion, with restoration work more recently.
