I recently visited Tenpin Cheshire Oaks, and I must say that my overall experience was far from pleasant. While I understand that accidents can happen, I cannot overlook the lack of safety measures and the alarming response from the staff when my daughter got stuck in a machine.
As I attempted to make a payment via card to the machine outside the ride, someone managed to sneak in and closed the machine's door, trapping my 3-year-old daughter inside with them. The panic and fear I felt were indescribable. Despite my immediate efforts to seek assistance, the staff appeared disinterested and nonchalant, making no attempt to stop the ride or help retrieve my distressed child. It was only through the swift action of my partner, who witnessed that it was another child who had sneaked in, that I refrained from taking drastic measures to free my daughter.
I am appalled by the lack of vigilance on the part of the staff and the apparent absence of protocols to handle such emergencies. This incident raises serious concerns about the safety standards at Tenpin Cheshire Oaks. I shudder to think what could have happened if a person with malicious intentions had been involved.
While the attractions at Tenpin Cheshire Oaks might be enjoyable, their handling of this distressing incident leaves much to be desired. Parents should feel confident that their children's safety is a top priority, and unfortunately, this was not the case during our visit.
I sincerely hope that Tenpin takes this incident as a wake-up call to reassess their safety protocols and staff training. It is crucial that they implement measures to prevent similar situations in the future and ensure a swift, effective response if such emergencies do occur. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to other parents who prioritize their children's safety and well-being.
Parents should remain cautious and vigilant during their visits to Tenpin Cheshire Oaks until concrete changes are made to guarantee the safety of all visitors, especially the...
Read moreArrived a little early for our game of bowls with our 3 grandchildren, decided to have look around amusement machines, when it was our time to check in we had to wait ages whilst one customer at the desk took forever, despite plenty of staff hovering around no seemed to jump on to assist others waiting to check in, one employee just stood there looking at the queue whilst unpacking prizes instead of putting her job on side to see to queuing customers. We had ordered food which I thought was after the game, not having to be eaten whilst we bowled, ordered chicken dippers for children only to be told they didn’t have any only burgers which my grandchildren don’t like, had to settle for chicken burger without the bun and cut up. Food arrived, not very warm though, chips only luke warm, just ate them as couldn’t be bothered to queue. Enjoyed the game of bowls very much even though the bowling balls were rather worn and in need of being updated. Went to use the toilets, found these to be disgusting, they had not been cleaned that day, the ladies had about 10 toilets but all dirty or blocked and toliet paper all over the floor. I did alert a member of staff regarding this matter as the check in desk who informed the toilets should have not been open, not sure how you run an establishment with lots of customers and no toilet provision. Overall seemed to be lots of staff around but not a very organised and dirty toilets. Will think twice about returning to this place as it wasn’t cheap and a bit of a ...
Read moreWent here with my work team for our annual team night out on Sunday Evening. Having arrived early I went for a look around to see what game I could play. Then I spotted a colleague and we played air hockey until the others arrived.
When they did so we went over to the pool tables and played each other in teams.
We then got our selves in the bowling ring and once again had teams. Handicap and Standard - (Bars down and bars up).
During the game many of us took shots which then made the bowling less accurate but more fun.
Once the game was done, we all split off into smaller groups. Me and another colleague went to shoot zombies, others went to play pool. Whilst to of my female colleagues who were very glamorous for the evening got hot on by the locals but declined there flirty due to one having a boyfriend and the other just not being interested.
As we looked around we found some tickets lying in random places. Taking them to the machine we won 162 tokens. To which I had a go on the piano machine which then broke, asked a man to fix it which he did and then it gave me 197 tickets when I actually had won only 27.
We then used the tickets to buy a sticky caterpillar and a tub of sweets. Though I wondered if I had just asked for either a mug or the PlayStation would I have gotten it.
No matter the attractive girls at the tills were very helpful as was the security guard.
Recommend this to anyone looking for a fun night we’re as my review has just described anything...
