Five Guys Burgers and Fries Cheshire Oaks — Restaurant in Ellesmere Port

I visited the restaurant with my daughters and my friend and having never been there before, I could only go off other people's opinions. I'd heard great things about the food but today my overall experience was simply outstanding. Lewis who served us was incredibly helpful throughout, even suggesting ideas of what to order for my children, when he could see I wasn't sure of what would be best. Whilst orderomg for myself, I didnt know where to start. Lewis didn't rush me and was just so friendly and reassuring and checked that I was happy with what I'd ordered. I was amazed by the amount of variety on the menu for both food and drink. It made it really difficult to choose but being able to order your toppings specifically to your own personal preferences makes it easier to get it exactly how you like it. When the food arrived it was amazing. Better than I expected and the portion sizes for the chips were insane. I loved the atmosphere in the restaurant as it felt lively with the music but it was so calm at the same time. This has to be down to the staff and how well they were each doing their jobs. It was just a rleaxing and enjoyable experience. As we left, although he was clearly busy, Lewis made an effort to say bye which shows just how genuine he was being throughout. I will definitely be returning. It is my new favourite...

Took two bites out of burger, opened it to put the lettuce back in that fell out. There was a LIVE centipede inside of my burger…moving around the burger. Went straight to the till…told them, waited for the manager but he didn’t come out..made one of his employees give us a refund, the employee was very apologetic and disgusted. One woman went to throw it in the bin..I asked her to show her manager who was not coming out to speak to us. We then demanded that we see the manager..he strolls out to say sorry..didn’t once tell everyone that the food has been contaminated..just carried on serving other people the food around THE BUG ON THE SIDE…which had since moved on to the other side of the burger. I was stood watching the food be made and noticed that the bun which had been prepared with the topping was sat on the side for a long time while the patties and fries cooked…so for a whole 20 minutes the bug was sat on the bun and no one noticed it. They also didn’t throw out the contaminated lettuce once we told them just carried on serving……I have picture but won’t let me post them. Also the feedback page isn’t working for me…won’t let me...

Worst food I've probably ever recieved burgers were disgusting chips chucked in a paper bag grease seeping through and the chips were rough. Hot dog was extortionate in price tiny little thing for £9 in a very dry bun. Food was so bad the mc Donald's I had to buy as a replacement was actually better.

Staff are as bad as the food clueless on consumer law and the rights of a customer bulshy and full of attitude from a 5 ft nothing young lady that clearly didn't have customer service skills to deal with a customer and complaint happy to chuck out false accusations which seemed to be freely used to try make them look like the victims.

Manager also like to up hold the victim side of things and very much enjoyed talking over a customer with no sympathy or apology for the abysmal food and customer service again throwing about false accusations of threats which was completely untrue.

This could of been a very quick and easy sorted situation that was instead made more of a problem and escalated to a point of a waste of police time even if they was as useless as the staff here.
