Drinks were very nice, but that's about as positive as I can be. Kinda terrible for all three of us and we won't be going back.
I had the Vegan Chicken Burger as a main (£12.80), it was dry as wood and took actual force to cut through, even despite that the bun was so leathery the knife got through the burger before the bun. They also gave me Mayo, which it didn't mention in the burger's description and I would have turned down if it did. The manager argued it did mention it, but it didn't. Re-looking at the online menu, it also shows two patties on the burger, where I was only given one. I'm also pretty sure they gave me vegan cheese despite me asking for normal cheese, because it was basically tasteless. Thankfully, despite arguing that it had been made exactly as I'd requested it (even if it had it was still the second worst burger I've ever ordered - only beaten by the time I ordered a Veggie Burger from 5 Guys that turned out to just be lettuce in a bun), the manager did offer to refund it.
The fries were extremely dry for me and the two others I was eating with (£1.70 for small portion with burger, £4.60 for extra plate of Peri fries, reasonable portion size for the price). They were either way overcooked or had been sitting under a heatlamp for a good hour at least.
The other two said their mains weren't bad, but also not good, just middling (that was the Spicy 'Slaw Chick' burger, which wasn't at all spicy, and iirc the 'Slaw Melt' toasted 'Sando' which was inoffensive).
When it comes to desserts, what this place would seem to excel at, they were disappointing for the price. Two of us had the 'Cheat Day' cake, which was nice, but nowhere near £12.50 a slice nice. We both agreed the sponge was bland but the frosting was very rich. The Gelato was crystalised, as if it had been defrosted and re-frozen, but still tasted nice so not the end of the world. Our third member had the Ferrero Rocher Sundae (£10.20), which was delivered like 5 minutes after the two 'Cheat Days' were. She said it was nice but kinda small for the price (only 2 smallish scoops), but she didn't mind.
All in all, really bad quality for price, I can only hope that we just got really unlucky. Also want to mention the waiter we had (can't remember his name) was really nice...
Read moreAwful experience , we travelled from Birmingham for the day and instead of choosing the great variety in the outlet we thought we would try Cheshire oaks branch of Haute Dolce after seeing it offered food. It was going great up until we received our order items (or what we didn’t order!) the wrong item (Parmesan fries) came to our table we was sure we didn’t order these as we already had the loaded chicken fries for us , natchos, the pasta and burger meal and discussed having the fries that came with burger for the kids so wouldn’t need them so no idea where these fries came from. We told waiter they weren’t ours who took them back , Anyhow next Minute the waiter who took our order came storming to our table with the fries demanding we did order them and the manager ain’t in so can’t take them off??!, he became argumentative (over a portion of fries??!) appeared it was miscommunication however this was dealt with in an appalling way and a awful excuse of a waiter he then said it’s ok I will take them off the bill??? We demanded he take the fries. Why storm to our table ruin the mood argue when we had kids didn’t want anything for free and remained calm and polite but it was very awkward . I would have happily left leaving all the food and not pay a penny how this guy made us feel however we had kids with us who wanted chips. The chips we received with burger were peri peri we didn’t ask for these we mentioned this whilst I’m sat there taking peri Salt off the kids. Told him to take the fries that ain’t ours we didn’t want them and certainly not there for a freebie. bro do better. You ruined the mood . Planned to get deserts after mains however after this horrible experience in this branch do not wish to return to such a poorly run establishment. We paid for our food at the till and left quickily . No apology for the confusion or mis understanding.
Also filthy baby chairs so we didn’t use the one offered.

Read moreIt is rare for me to leave a negative review, but unfortunately, I feel compelled to share our recent experience at Dolci.
We have been loyal customers since the restaurant first opened nearly seven years ago. While we have noticed a decline over the past two years, we always gave the benefit of the doubt due to our longstanding fondness for Dolci. However, our visit yesterday was deeply disappointing.
The most concerning issue was that we experienced food poisoning after our meal. In addition, the overall service—particularly the attitude of the manager—left much to be desired.
Our evening started on a positive note, thanks to a wonderful waiter who was patient, kind, and professional. He went out of his way to accommodate my younger brother, who is quite particular about his food, and made friendly conversation with us after serving our mains. Unfortunately, despite his excellent service, he was reprimanded by the manager simply for spending more than a few minutes at our table.
The manager’s demeanor throughout the evening was cold and unwelcoming. He repeatedly walked past our table, attending to others while completely disregarding us. At one point, I had to leave my seat to request assistance, as our table was left uncleared for over 30 minutes. When we left, our goodbyes were ignored, reinforcing the overall impression of indifference.
Hospitality is an industry built on warmth and attentiveness—qualities that were noticeably absent during our visit. A rigid, impersonal approach to service does not align with modern dining expectations.
Given the declining standards, the lack of customer care, and the unfortunate health issue we experienced, it is difficult to justify the high prices. The only positive aspect of our visit was the exceptional service provided by our waiter, whose professionalism and kindness stood out despite the...
