I want to preface this with the fact we were genuinely appreciative of this agency accomodating us last minute, organising cleaners after a few issues and we were originally happy with the apartment. We’ve lived in Airbnbs for the last 2 years whilst travelling and this has to be the worst, after further correspondence with them I can honestly say never again
I don’t understand how they can claim they’ve never had complaints with a property so poorly maintained. It required not only a second clean the day after check-in, despite it being “deep cleaned” the day prior, but FURTHER cleaning by ourselves
On entering the premises it became apparent quite quickly the cleaners had tried to mask the sickly smell of dog with men’s deodorant! This company has a strong policy against pets which was not hard to see that it was ignored or turned a blind eye to, but what they did manage to miss though was the muddy dog footprints I didn’t feel comfortable even sitting on the couches or my child on the rug as they were honestly an insult to the nostrils! As were the throw, tea towels & dish cloth. I had to purchase plug ins, febreeze, dettol spray & diffusers but nothing lasts.
Both bedroom windows had mould. We purchased black mould spray to clean it ourselves, which the cleaners took, but they never bothered to clean the lounge window which also has mould on it. They missed the dog prints/smears on the windows etc that they were even sent back to clean There is a god awful stench in the bathroom. SO strong we have to leave the fan running full time. I put an air diffuser in there and sprayed the drains with mould spray before the cleaners too cleaned and am still trying to clean! It’s off-putting & headache inducing
Curtains in the living space are PAPER that don’t cover the whole window so you never have complete privacy. The bedroom blinds too do nothing so we had to purchase a black out blind to fit the windows so our toddler can sleep. The bed had stains and hair and are not “premium quality high thread count”. The bin lid caked in mould, along with the washing machine! The fridge and microwave both not cleaned. Something was spilt in the fridge and it solidifed in the bottom leaving an awful stench. There are tiny bugs flying around inside, it looked like it hadn’t been swept/vacuumed with hair and dust built up in places, plastic tags left on the floor which were a choking hazard for our little one and the dishwasher lined with food/grime and the smell was rotten. Honestly by this point I wish I could leave smells in a review
The crux of the issue is the construction below and next door. To give some context to how much you can hear in this place; we hear the occupant walking around upstairs. Now imagine power tools, demolition & construction. You can even hear the workers talking THROUGH the wall. If it was just myself I wouldn’t be so precious - but I have a toddler. The noise is SO loud, at times it’s shaken the apartment
When we raised this issue with the host they lied and contradicted themselves stating they had no idea that “there was work going on in the AREA”. It’s not only mentioned in their PDF Welcome Document but it is also clearly sign posted works began on 5/2/24. They also said it’s “not something that Airbnb gives us the option to tick online” as if advising us prior to booking and check-in was not an option knowing full well we were booking with a baby
Even after providing audio and video evidence of the noise level and how it’s so disruptive they were so dismissive and nonchalant, it’s completely unprofessional. It’s their business to know for a property they manage, especially if they are to charge people whilst claiming “you will enjoy peace and tranquility” at said listing!
If properly canvased & inspected they would have seen the Planning Notice for works dated 20/12/23. They can’t dispute works are ongoing as they are right at the front door of the property! The whole area around the property is blocked off for construction/hazardous reasons and the passage way to the high road...
Read moreThe Airbnb property at 3 Marion Road S6 1WB, can honestly say it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by how clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed the space was. The attention to detail was incredible—everything from the comfortable bedding to the fully stocked kitchen made me feel right at home.
The location was perfect! It was close enough to all the main attractions but still felt like a peaceful retreat. I loved exploring the neighborhood, which had plenty of great cafes, restaurants, and shops within walking distance.
The host was absolutely wonderful—responsive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. They even left a little welcome note and some local treats, which was such a nice touch.
I can’t recommend this place enough! Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with friends, this Airbnb is the perfect spot. I’ll definitely be booking again on my next trip. Thank you for such a...

Revolting place. Absolutely filthy when we got there; rubbish over the floors like someone had just emptied a bin in there, filthy toilet with human waste still on it, pubic hairs all around the bath, wall paper peeling off the walls, dirty un-vacuumed, sticky carpets. There were no towels left there, no tea towels to dry up - the plates, cups and glasses were sticky and stained. I didn't even make a cup of tea in there!
Messaged them straight away but they just kept asking for photos. Sent emails, pictures and called them several times; in the end they just stopped responding. When I complained to Booking.Com who I booked through, Brookland Stays reported to them that we had never turned up, were a no show - clearly the pictures tell a different story!
I'd never use them again...
