Yellowave Brighton - Beach Sports Venue & Beach Cafe — Local services in England

Great place to play volleyball. Convenient that there is a cafe there too. Coffee is okay. Food is basic and very limited vegan friendly options. Though they do good smoothies which are very refreshing after a match. I thought they were changing to biodegradable veg ware but when I went a couple of weeks back they still seemed to be serving drinks in plastic cups.. maybe just using up what they had. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. The founding staff are very friendly but there are a lot of new younger staff members (particularly in the cafe) who tend to just do what is required but not engage quite like Spencer, Ellie and Damo do. I guess it’s a growing business and more staff are needed but they don’t always know/remember the regulars. Still, a good place to go. Good function room. Nice to be on the beach. Was nice except someone working on a conference call on their laptop. On a day off I dont want to hear someone's work conference call on loud speaker.

Reply: I understand the yelloweave staff were brilliant however conference calls should not be on loud speaker and would have been happy if on a headset. I have no issues with people working remotely in cafes however they should use headsets. Perhaps a notice saying headsets must be worn on conference calls would be appropriate and advising remote works to work outside if no headset is in use. Yellowave beach sports venue

I recently visited Brighton and our teachers suggested we try volleyball in Yellowave beach sports venue. Overall my experience was mixed but mostly positive.

The place was really modern and clean. The workers were welcoming and if we asked something they would help us. Changing rooms were a bit cramped and the toilets were always closed.
