Whilst I must admit that the movie 'it'self was good, this is the only positive aspect of my visit. Whilst at A viewing of the 15 rated movie 'It', my friends and I found the service to be terrible. As we watched 13 year olds walk into the theatre without a hint of a problem, we were severely delayed by the cinema owner insisting on each and every member of our group produce I.D to prove our age. Not a strange question, and I understand it may be necessary , but an unexpected one, as we all look easily over 15. As most of us do not yet drive, but are students, those of us who had our student cards produced them and provided validation that the others in our group attended the same college, confirming their age. There was plenty of evidence of our age, however we were not treated with any respect or dignity. After having our student cards Scratched at, the owner finally conceded to let some of us in, the rest being told to leave the theatre. What could we do to prove our age? Bring our passports to the theatre, we were told. So if you are on your way, be prepared.
I won't start on...
Read moreIt's not a place we go very often as there are other cinemas that are more comfortable, but it was the only local one showing Bond No time to die. Just over £8 to get in, which is not bad for a movie that lasts almost 3 hours but the comfort thing then comes in to play. The folks on the front desk were pleasant enough but I was expecting a bit more room between people if I'm honest, it wasn't packed but there were enough in to make it worth wearing a mask. There isn't a lot of leg room and the seats were quit firm and moved a bit. Some people had checked Google for the start times of the movie and had arrived at 12:30pm for a 1 o'clock start only to find the place closed as the correct start time was 2pm, so be wary check the cinemas Web site and not Google for the correct information. There was the usual snacks for sale along with small bottles of wine and beer which I wasn't expecting, but if you fancy it then fair enough. Overall it gets 4 stars as there are more comfortable places to watch a film if they are showing the one your...
