Luna Park Scarborough — Attraction in Great Britain

The manager (blonde lady) was very rude when we asked for a refund for the money left on our card (which we had to buy to access the rides) as there was nobody else on the Bumper cars so would have been a pointless ride for £7!! (£3.50 each)

If it was a fair price I probably wouldn't have bothered asking for it but they are charging £7-9 for a child and parent to go on one small ride which costs £2pp at any normal fair and if your child decided they dont want to go on the ride or any other reason they refuse the refund. Even when explained to the manager this and that it wasnt mentioned by staff when we bought it that it wasnt refundable either she became very rude and then ran off into an office and hid as she knew full well it was wrong and that a 6 year old child who loved coming to luna park is now upset and doesnt want to go anymore due to something that they could have easily fixed.

I was a customer service manager for Direct Line group for many years so I'm aware of what good service looks and feels like and this was absolutely shocking customer service by that woman she should be ashamed of herself.

Just like any other rogue company they will no doubt try to hide this and nobody is any the wiser so they will surely be scamming other people...

Took our girls here whilst visiting Scarborough for a few days. It's very cramped, not much space between rides. The prices per ride are extortionate. Our girls brought a card with credits on the Saturday morning and had an hour at the Luna park before leaving to go for lunch. We decided to use the remaining balance on the 'top up cards' the following day having checked the opening times and that we'd have until 8pm on the Sunday.... we arrived at 6.50pm to find it all closed up!! 2 very disappointed children. I have since messaged the park owners explaining the park was closed before that advertised and that we still had unused credits which is unfair on the children. There reply was that we have a year to use them! I then explained we lived in Wales and would not be that way again for a long while. They were not in the slightest bit bothered with no apology or offer of a refund. A disgusting business model and business owner ripping children and families off. Be aware that all the rides are either 2.5 or 3.5 credits, which is £2.50 & £3.50, but you can only top up your cards in denominations of £1.00. Keep your money in your pockets is my only...
