Came with my boyfriend and asked for two pots of tea as it states on the menu it’s £1.80 for a pot of tea per person but when asking the woman she asked if it was one pot of tea for two or two pots of tea for 2 so we asked for two pots, knowing that it stayed on the menu that it was one pot for one person. However, the total come to £7.20. This was clear misunderstanding which is fine, but when asking to change it to one pot which the menu lead us to think was correct, the woman made a very sarcastic comment saying she asked us three times if the order was right, which she didn’t, and we thought it was because again, that’s what we was lead to think judging by the menu. Her approach to the situation made me feel very uncomfortable as she got quite aggressive. Looked like a snack bar, but we had the most exquisite seafood chowder - I mean seriously the best I've ever had in the UK: large prawns, cod and gnocchi with roasted lemon - honestly fantastic. The fish sandwich was excellent too, crunchy hot battered cod in a soft white roll. Staff were friendly, courteous and efficient - I'd beat a path to the door and highly recommend, a genuinely pleasant surprise. And they take contactless card payments so I guess some of the reviews are out of date. We're from Dorset, on holiday, so will probably never get there again but if you're local, or visiting, this is one to seriously support....
